Is America Headed Into A New Civil War

Could America have another civil war?

I understand; this has been asked before, I have read the answers, so I would like to ask a bit more differently.

One would say that you simply need two sides in order to get a civil war to start, and that a civil war in America couldn't possibly happen again because you don't have two sides. That factions (if any) are too split up.

Yet, there are actually two factions: Republicans and Democrats, and with this recent election, there was quite a lot of heat.
Now comes my question; since there was SO much heat, what would happen if popular Democratic politicians were assassinated by Republicans? Then, popular Republican politicians were soon assassinated.

The news would be all over it, and suggesting that politicial rivalries are occurring; the public, watching this, would get riled up.

Wouldn't it then escalate into a civil war? Or still, no?

Is America heading towards another civil war?

These past few years in America have been for the most part weird.
The last few months have been even weirder.

1. Newton, Connecticut the Sandy Hook shooting. :-(
2. Chris Dorners rampage across Southern California that killed four people. 8-/
3. This recent bombing in Boston, Massachussets. :-(
4. The Hakken family that fled to Cuba only to get captured and have their two sons taken from them for supposedly smoking weed.
5. Veterans are reporting that their being ordered to not have guns.
6. The secession movement that was growing a few months ago.

Is this just more craziness like what we've been seeing for the past few years or will this lead to something bigger and more horrific?(civil war)

Is Mexico heading towards a new civil war?

I don’t think so.There have been movements that have shown unhappiness with the government but none of them have had the strength for a civil war and they have been closer to isolated occurrences.*#YoSoy132 was mostly a University Student movement.*The wind of the EZLN has calmed so far and it wasn’t that big to begin with.*The teacher’s reform is strong, but as much as I condemn the killings and human right violations. I do agree that the education reform was necessary and was in fact feeble as Mexico’s children deserve quality education. Public education in Mexico (except for the excellent public universities) is very poor and many of those teachers were more concerned with being a political force than teaching. So they hardly have the support of most of the population.
