Can I root my samsung galaxy y duos lite to android 4.0 or any other android higher than 2.3?

The only Android OS higher than 2.3 which is publicly available is 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2. Gingerbread (3.0) was not released as open source.Sadly for you, the Android 4.0 (and better) need at least an ARMv4 processor and your phone does not meet that technical requirement. Some custom versions of 4.0 have been made to work on lesser hardware, but these hacker-made side projects are hardware specific and I can't find any that work with your phone.

Can anyone please tell me if samsung galaxy ace duos's android version can b upgraded from gingerbread to the better one?

When Samsung announced JellyBean update for its higher-end phones, it also said that there won't be any official update for Ace & Ace-Duos. So users will be stuck on Gingerbread.Although if you're keen on upgrading it, you may do it through unofficial custom ROMs (after rooting your device). The last time i checked, there was a custom ROM for Ace Duos based on JellyBean 4.1.2

Accidentally hit install for android jelly bean update, how do you stop it?

Ok so I was using my droid razr maxx (not the hd) and the notification to update from ics to jellybean popped up and instead of hitting not now I accidentally accepted it, so I took the battery out. No I did not break the battery, but before it was even have way thru the first bar of installing I took the battery out to stop it. I want to stay on ics as I've used jelly bean and don't like it. It's actually fried one of my razrs and I had to get a replacement because of all the bugs.
Can anyone tell me how I can stop the phone from continuing the update? I've attached the battery, and it starts right where it left off, did a soft reset by holding vol. down and power and it does nothing. Any help?
