Is Arch Bishop Mcdonald A Good School

Was Archbishop Uusher the only bible scholar who lumbered other Christians with the notion that the world was only 6000 years old, or were there others who came to the exact same conclusion inependently?

For almost the entire history of the church, the belief has been in a young earth (by today's standards) There was no known evidence to the contrary and scientific principal was either not existent or in its infancy. I don't see how Usser can be accused of 'lumbering' anyone with his estimations. There have been many scholars who have attempted to add up the ages given in the OT, date historic events, and make educated conjectures about the length of the time covered by the scriptures. I seriously doubt that any two ever came up with the exact same conclusion if you mean by years, but then it's doubtful that any two anthropologist will independently come up with the same dates for any ancient event other in very (millions of years) general terms.

Help with Choosing an High School?

If you have the marks, and believe you can keep up with the requirements, definitely try for MAC. It offers many more academic advantages for university.

Ross Shep is more sports-oriented, with an excellent athletic program. If you are a committed athlete, Ross Shep could be a better program, however if you are more interested in your future (Would you be eligible/likely to recieve a sports scholarship?) it may not be the better choice.

Faith can also play a role. ECS welcomes students of all faiths, though they must commit to the religion program. EPS also welcomes all faiths, with no religious aspect in the curriculum.

Both maintain relatively good academic reputations, with Archbishop MacDonald being, by a fair amount, the better school based on academics. They also have reputable athletic programs, of which Ross Shep's is more intensive, enjoying more success.

Also, the International Baccalaureate programme offered at Archbishop MacDonald is an excellent, worldwide accredited program aimed at a higher level of education and university prep. It has outstanding results achieved through the intensive programme. The prerequisites are either MYP in grade 10 (available only to those currently enrolled in the MYP) or Grade 10 Honours courses, which require an 80% grade 9 average.

You can choose to do the Academic program throughout high school, Do the hoboura program for one or multiple years, go from MYP to IB, or go from Honours to IB.

If you go into the IB Diploma Programme, you can pursue the Diploma (all courses through grades 11-12 are IB) or the certificate program, in which you only take IB courses in your stronger subjects.

The Creativity.Action.Service. (CAS) aspect required with IB encourage the student to be wholly developed.

Whatever your choice, good luck!
Please update me on your choice, I hope this helped.

Is it proper to address a Catholic archbishop via email with a request?

Generally, if one wants to make a formal request of their local ordinary (bishop or archbishop), there are two avenues.Increasingly, for regular requests bishops are asking for parish staff to use electronic communication in a specific format (either email, form attached to email, or contact form). However, one should ideally send a physical letter for extra requests: bishop to come to parish celebration, exception to diocesan policy for sacraments, scheduling a regular Mass in Spanish or the older form of the Mass, etc.Fr. Zuhlsdorf’s guide to writing to bishops is very useful, regardless of why you are writing. A few relevant excerpts:BE BRIEF. Make your letter no longer than one side of one sheet of paper.Avoid writing long-hand. Make it easy to read. Type or use a computer and printer.Do not – not – tell the one to whom you are writing what their job is! Don’t quote canons, blah blah, as if they didn’t know them already. Leave the incredibly obvious unsaid. If you must talk about your feelings, keep your personal remarks incredibly short, and do not – not – be mean-spirited. If something made you sad or angry, okay, say it, but don’t DWELL on it. The nastier you are, the more emotion you drone, the weaker your letter will be.At the end thank the one you are writing to for his service, and promise your prayers. And mean it. And then pray.

My name is McIntyre how do i know if i am of Irish or Scottish background?

Scottish. I am guessing you don't live in the British Isles. It is immediately recognisable as Scottish.

I found a clan association for you!

Need good idea for Canterbury Tales?

You could use regular old literature circles. I am assuming you are starting with the Prologue. That (along with historical background) I would present using a more direct teaching approach, just to get them used to the language, acquaint them with the premise of the tales, etc. I actually like to have students draw the characters and present them to the class. Pick whatever tasks you want each group to do for each tale (ask questions, draw a picture, etc.) and have the jobs shift for each of the 8 stories. You actually wouldn't have to have each group do all 8. Each group could be responsible for 4. I figure if they "get" four of the tales, it shows they've mastered Chaucer without overkill. Your midterm could be skill-based and feature a tale they haven't read. That way, they'd have to apply the skills they learned in their groups.

Who is ur favorite gospel talker or preacher or inspirational speaker?

Father John Corapi is very good. He has a website (www.fatherjohncorapi.com) that you can visit. you can also catch him on EWTN.

Scott Hahn is a great speaker on the Bible, as well as Jim Cavins.

Archbishop Fulton Sheen had some great talks in the 50's (his show was prime time back then)

Jim West is a good speaker on the Theology for the Body.

What would your ideal birthday look like?

I’m actually turning 16 years old tomorrow, on August 2nd. While my friends (whom I absolutely love to death) are all out celebrating their 16th birthdays with massive parties and extravagant dinners that were crazy fun, I’m not doing any of that. Why? Trust me, I’m trying to figure that out myself. My ideal 16th birthday is a LOT simpler. Here are some things that I’d love to be a part of my birthday:Birthday wishes! I love getting those kind calls from family and friends, not to mention that “happy birthday” text from your crush. Not that I have one…….I would wake up super early, maybe 4 or 5am and be productive! I’d drink my lemon water, go for a run outside, hit the basement for a workout and study my neuroscience books because it just interests the living heck out of me. I’d wrap this all up by 8:00 am sharp. When my parents wake up, I’d love for them to hug me and wish me a happy birthday. THEN, just as they promised, I’d want to FINALLY, FINALLY go out and drive our gigantic Hummer (this massive ‘monster truck’ looking vehicle) all by myself. It’s basically my father’s prized possession, to paint you a picture.I’d want to go to this super divine Edmonton bakery called The Art of Cake and pick out one of those gorgeous cakes (yes, this is a little costly), and spend some time tasting samples with family.Pack for my solo vacation to Toronto. If theres anything I love more than cake, it’s to travel. I’m leaving in a couple days.Binge Netflix for a while! No birthday of mine would be complete without laughing out loud ’til it hurts with The Office.Facetime some friendsEat an amazing home cooked dinner with my family (I swear, nothing beats Indian food).Stay up really late just reading and watching some more TV.AAAAAND checking my Quora account to see some views/upvotes on my answers. :)

How to sue a Catholic Priest?

Hi i feel awful writing this but i want to know how to sue a priest. My name is Christian and we have a bad priest in our community. In the beginning my family and the priest were really good friends but he began to talk alot of crap about people and we felt awful. He would also demand we take him to expensive vacations etc... of course we did not because we didnt have the money. Whenever we would say no he would get very mad at my mom, and they would end up in a fight. My dad worked most of the time so he saw that as an advantage to manipulate my mom to buy him expensive stuff. It got to the point were he would invite himself places and make us pay. He manipulated me and told me that another priest was awful and bad and that i should write a letter on my behalf to kick him out. I was about to send it but i chose not to. He was with me while i was writing it and told me word for word what to write. at the time i was 14. now i am 15 and very pissed. My mom was planning on taking us to Spain for world youth day this August so we made a group but his bitchy attitude and bad habits made us not be financially good. My sister helped him alot and he kicked her out because he doesn't like us anymore ? I know what a *****. He talked bad about so many families and he is Hispanic and he downgrades the other hispanics . He also stole money from the church. We know alot about him and he also broke several Canon Laws (laws of the Catholic Church). According to this do i have any claims to sue him? or at least do harm to him (not physical but by the Law)? Thanks. and i am not a bad Catholic but misdeeds and wrong doings are not going to go unnoticed. Priest are humans to and they deserve what the ask for .
