Why do rings at most jewelry stores come in a standard size 7? Since when?
It is the most average size, and the easiest to size up or down. I have size 4 fingers and wondered why I couldn't get a discount for 1/2 the ring material! lol
Boyfriend keeps asking my ring size?
Last night on the phone, my boyfriend randomly asked, "What size ring do you wear?" then a minute later goes, "Just a random question." I told him that I'd have to check and find out, and then today a minute ago he texted me and goes, "Totally random but don't forget to find out what size ring you wear." He's told me multiple times that he's sure that he wants to spend the rest of his life with me and how much he loves me, so people I know are suggesting a proposal. We're apart for a couple of months while I finish college, so there have been suggestions that he's going to propose when I move back. But Valentine's Day is also coming up, so I wondered if it was jewelry for that, but he says that he's already bought my presents, so it doesn't seem like it's for that. What do you think? I'm not a big fan of men buying you rings unless it would be an engagement ring, so what's a way that I could nonchalantly mention that I don't like rings as a gift? Just in case he's doing that. I'm not trying to sound ungrateful, but I don't want him spending money on a normal ring when I probably wouldn't wear it. And when I texted him back, telling him my ring size, he said, "Interesting :)" he's also told me that he loves me so much that he wants to tell the whole world. I'm not trying to sound ungrateful by the way, but I just don't wear rings that often, no matter who gives them to me.
Can i ask a jeweler to resize my ring infront of me?
My favorite jeweler I ever used would do sizing and repairs in front of you, so long as you had made an appointment beforehand. Ask your jeweler (or call several up) and see if this is an option with them. I would avoid using any place that uses an outside repairman... *ALWAYS* have it done in-house.

Do people ask you if your ring is real?
No, I think it's because my ring is .3k (notice I didn't say "only" because that was the biggest I wanted) and the diamond is fantastic quality. It's so bright and clear and it's just brilliant. I don't think you could mistake it for "fake." I would never ask anyone if their ring was real- how rude! What purpose can it possible serve other than to offend/insult the person you're talking to? The only person I ever did that to was my sister who, upon hearing that I was engaged, threw a huge tantrum because she is 6 years older than me, a druggie, in a "relationship" with her former "client" from her prostitution days, and literally crazy. She bought herself a plastic child's ring the size of a marble and tried to convince me and my family that it was real. Needless to say, I was going for the whole insult/offend thing. I'm sure your ring is beautiful. Take it as a compliment that people think that someone who has a large diamond must be fake because "no one has that kind of money to spend." Lots of people think size=love and even though we know that isn't true be complimented that they are jealous of the love your fiance has for you.

has anyone ever had their ring re-sized at Walmart? If so, how long did it take to get back. I'm expecting up to about 4 weeks. We called and spoke to a woman in the jewelry department but she was so rude about it. She said it can be about 4 weeks but I have heard some people say they got their within 2 weeks and some people say up to 6 weeks. Does it depend on how you are getting it sized? I'm going from a 7 to a 6. We sent it off on the 31st from Walmart so they probably didn't send it off until the 1st of Aug since the 31st was a Sunday. If you have had your ring re-sized from Walmart, did it look OK afterwards? **Please no comments on my engagment ring coming from Walmart. I picked out a $600 ring that was on clearance for $200 because my boyfriend and I don't have $1000+ to spend on a ring. We have 2 kids and we are both in college. I'd rather spend more on my honeymoon than my ring. I picked it out because it was what I wanted and I think it's beautiful**

Hi! Don't worry about your ring size! If your fiance is anything like mine, then he has no clue what those numbers mean anyway! For heaven's sake, I'm a female and I have no idea what the average ring size is. Don't be ashamed at all. It's just a number. I got my ring from walmart and it took about 2 weeks to get it back. I went from a 7 to a 5( its still a little big, but thats my fault). It took about 2-4 days for them to send it off for me, We bought it at the begining of december and we got it back about 2 days before christmas eve. It looked perfect when I got it in, i was actually very surprised, but it was perfect :) My ring was actually $75 because I didn't want a big expensive ring, but it has real diamonds in it( very tiny) but its all shiny and sparkly when the light hits it just right.
