Is Boating Insurance In Michigan No-fault

What is the general rule of thumb for how much auto-insurance you should have (liability for bodily injury)? If a person had $4 million in net assets, should they purchase that much coverage?

Most auto insurance policies will allow and underlying limit of up to $1,000,000. Some companies may allow a limit of up to $2,000,000.Start by asking what your base auto policy will allow and maximize that coverage first.Though “rule of thumb” has exceptions, it would make sense in this case for the insured to carry additional liability protection using a Personal Umbrella Policy of around $5,000,000.Ask your agent how much additional layers of umbrella liability cost per $1M. You may find that increasing above the $5M mark is worth consideration and relatively inexpensive for each additional layer. An additional consideration is making sure that all of your underlying personal liability exposures (policies) are brought under (or listed on) the umbrella policy. Those would include:Homeowners LiabilityRental or Apartment units LiabilityBoat, ATV, Motorcycle, RV LiabilityFor someone with a level of wealth measured in the millions, it would be to your benefit to find a reputable agent and company to work with. If possible, one company and one agent who can bring your program under one package.

How long does an embalmed body last in a coffin in the ground?

There are too many factors at play that can all affect the final result. How long have they been dead before embalming, and what was the condition of the body at that time? During the embalming, what signs were there that the embalming fluid was permeating all the tissues of the body? How and when was aspiration performed? Was re aspiration necessary? Wood or metal casket? Vault or concrete grave liner? Weather and ground conditions?I have seen bodies dug up after 1 year, embalmed, that had turned to sludge. I have seen other bodies dug up after 20 years that were in perfect condition.Embalming is meant to be temporary preservation only, to get through the funeral. No funeral home should guarantee that casketed remains will always look the way they do on the day of the burial.Embalming is often not something you can just do and then forget until the funeral. If it's going to be a couple of weeks until the burial, I will have to tend to that body each day in some manner. There have been times when, a week after embalming, I've had to open up the body and inject more embalming fluid.

Is financing a motorcycle a good idea?

Yes. If you can qualify for a small loan, it's not a BAD idea to build your credit rating while making payments on a motorcycle.

One thing though... While you are correct about insurance not being REQUIRED on a motorcycle in Florida, It's quite likely that any bank or finance agency that loans money to buy a motorcycle WILL require you to carry full coverage insurance as long as you make payments.

HOWEVER, the Financial Responsibility FR Law applies to ALL motor vehicles in Florida, including motorcycles. Thus the voluntary purchase of motor vehicle liability insurance by an owner, operator or owner/ operator is highly recommended.
Failure to carry property damage and bodily injury liability insurance in case of a crash, DUI conviction or other occurrences outlined in Florida’s FR Law, Ch. 324, may result in some or all of the following:

Loss of license 
Loss of tag and registration 
Restitution or civil court judgment 
Future proof of high risk SR-22 or FR-44 (three years)
