Is Brazil And South America In General Closer Allies With The Usa Or Russia And China

Who is Russia's closest allies?

Ivan has no allies, the PRC is actually an enemy to them. The United States has several very strong allies, the UK,Australia,Canada and New Zealand are the most reliable, the rest of NATO adds numbers to US and together outnumber the Russians in almost all catagories. If hostilities broke out between NATO and Russia it would probably be a conventional conflict covering Eastern Europe and the Middle East,if it remained a conventional war of attrition NATO would prevail but if either side deployed tactical nukes to even the playing field then GOD help us.

Is Brazil closer diplomatically with the United States or China?

Brazil has developed an economic relationship with China in recent years due to the fact that the makeup of the Brazilian economy is in many ways a direct complement to that of the Chinese one. Brazil has vast tracts of arable land, large water reserves, enormous agricultural production and produces a myriad of natural resources as well. All of these commodities can help to power the manufacturing and industry heavy economy. However, unlike in the East African region Chinese interests in Brazil and Latin America as a whole don’t really extend into the political sphere. In fact there are a number of Brazilian laws that make it illegal for Chinese firms to bring over workers to Brazil or even purchase large areas of land to prevent those exact conditions from arising.Basically, Brazil now has a burgeoning economic relationship with China as a consequence of the insatiable Chinese market for the commodities goods that are the staple of the Brazilian economy. However, Brazil coordinates extremely closely with the United States on security matters throughout the region and has always been politically and socially far more skewed towards the Americas and the United States in particular. So Brazil is selling more and more of the natural resources hey produce to the Chinese, but that relationship doesn’t really extend into the political sphere in the same way their relationship with the US does.

Did America win world war 2 for the allies?

There is a general misconception that america joined the allies to fight the nazi's and japan in world war 2 because they could not allow the injustice's of the jewish people to continue.
is this true?.well the war started when britain , france and many other european countries signed the treaty of versailles with germany stating that germany were not to invade new polish lands formally german lands.hitler broke this treaty in 1939 when he invaded poland, so britain and france declared war on germany.germany went on to conquer countries and commit horrific war crimes such as the hollacaust.germany allied with japan, italy and russia and continued to attack neutral countries with no reason for doing so other than power.by this time britain alone had suffered over 300,000 military casualties and 62,000 civilian deaths. The allies pleaded with the usa to join them against the nazi's but they refused.Only when pearl harbor was bombed in 1941 did the americans join the allies against

If Russia and the US went to war, which side would Brazil take?

As noted here, Brazil really has no dog in the fight between Russia and the USA and would endeavor to remain neutral as a rising economic power should. Wars can cripple an economy, just look at Russia. But . . . if circumstances forced Brazil to take a side, it would be the USA by a mile.Brazil and the US have a long history of good relations. The US was the first nation to recognize Brazil’s independence. Brazil has not forgotten that.Brazil was the only South American nation to send troops to fight alongside the Western Allies in WWII. The US has not forgotten that.Brazil is one of the most pro-American nations in the world. According to a global opinion poll, 73% of Brazilians viewed the US favorably in 2015. 61% of Americans favor Brazil, which is higher than they favor Israel or France. 35% of Brazilians see Russia favorably.Brazil does five times the export business with the US ($25 $Billion) than they do with Russia (5 $Billion). Brazil knows who butters its bread. The Brazilian military operate tanks, planes, and ships from the United States, its NATO partners, and Brazils own industries. They do not operate Russian military equipment.Brazil is in the western hemisphere, which is a long, long way from Russia across an ocean controlled by the US. Brazil is no fool about military geopolitics.

How do you see USA planning to declare Brazil as a major non-NATO ally? Is it being done to pressurise Venezuela?

America considers Latin America as her backyard has tried to gain influence in the region. During the cold war, it was Cuba which invited US attention due to the influence of Soviet Union on Cuban Communist regime. In the post cold-war era the radical political regimes of the region have posed problem by adopting anti- US postures. At present Maduro-led Venezuelan government also falls in that category. Coincidently, the present government of Brazil led by Jair Bolsonaro is a pro-American regime. America is trying to cultivate close ties with Brazil, the largest economy of Latin America, with two objectives in Mind:1. To reduce the economic and strategic influence of China in Brazil and Latin America in general. Brazil is one of the five members of the BRICS and has developed close ties with China in last decade. Other members of BRICS are India, Russia China and South Africa. The previous two regimes of Brazil led by Lula da Silva and Dilma Rousseff, were not favourable to the US interests.2. The Second objective of the US is to forge a political alliance with Brazil to weaken the position of President Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela. The US wants to remove Maduro and replace him with a friendly regime led by Interim President of Venezuela, Juan Guaido. It should be noted that China and Russia have extended political support to Maduro government in Venezuela. America has openly stated in her New Security Strategy, December, 2017 that China and Russia are the main enemies of America global interests and influence. So, if there is close strategic partnership with Brazil, it will have larger consequences, beyond Venezuela. The new Brazil’s Present Bolsoanaro visited America on 20 March, 2019 and America has announced to grant Brazil the status of ‘major non-NATO ally,, which will reduce Chinese influence in Brazil, and Latin America in general and weaken Maduro’s political support in the region. In the joint statement issued at the end of visit, both Trump and Bolsonaro, among other things, reiterated that the US and Brazil stood with the Interim President of Venezuela, Juan Guaido. They have also decided to strengthen economic and technological cooperation between the two countries.

Which countries are Brazil's allies and enemies?

Let’s talk about allies first. To begin with, there are no “allies” in the traditional concept in Central or South America, which includes Brazil. Each country is always trying to get the better of the other. It has to do with Hispanic culture. There may be temporary groups, such as the Lima Group, but that is about as far as it goes. The U.S. has tried to encourage unity among the various countries, but without much success. Regional conflict is always bubbling below the surface.Talking specifically about Brazil and it’s enemies, there are several possibilities. The first of these is the traditional distrust between Brazil and Argentina, the two big boys on the block. Fortunately for Brazil, Argentina is much too occupied with the threat of Chile to pose any immediate threat. The rest of South America is far too weak to have any idea of causing trouble. There is a threat however, that dwarfs all others and that is from within. Social unrest, economic problems, sectional distrust and corruption are only a few of these internal threats facing the country. At the moment, the U.S. has no major problems with Brazil so you can eliminate that potential. All in all, I would say that Brazil has no real threat from external sources, just as it has no real allies.

Which countries are allied with the US?

Ally, despite having only four letters, is such a big word.Objectively, one could say that American allies are those that have signed a mutual defence treaty with the United States. Those treaties vary quite a bit in their terms and obligations, but mostly obligate a signatory country to come to the aid of the other(s) if an attack occurs.By far, the most important military alliance the United States is in is NATO. With 28 states and spanning the North Atlantic, it is comprised of almost all of western Europe, many countries in eastern Europe, all the way to Turkey. There are a few more alliances, though - Japan, Australia, the Philippines and  South Korea all have binding collective security arrangements with the US.Israel has such extensive military and political ties with the US that, despite there not being such a treaty in force, one could call it an ally. There is a treaty, still officially in force, called the Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance, or the Rio Pact, establishing a collective security arrangement throughout the Americas. This treaty, however, is thought to be mostly valid on paper only, ever since the United States sided with the UK over Argentina in the Falklands war.The United States has an official designation for its allies outside NATO - Major non-NATO ally. This is not, however, a very firm standing, and, due to winds of political change, some allies quickly become rivals.Argentina, for instance, is one of them, despite having been increasingly critical of the US in recent years. In truth, alliances mostly last only to the point in which the mutual interests remain mutual. In that case, one could say that America's strongest allies are the ones with the most shared interests and shared values - and certainly the developed English-speaking democracies of the world are among them - Canada, the UK and Australia, for example. There are, however, a host of other countries, that, even if not necessarily formal allies, and even if there are occasional disagreements between them and the US, can be considered friendly and that share many common values with the US - India, Brazil and Mexico, for example. These are countries that, in the American point of view, promote their interests, be it in maintaining regional stability, such as in Brazil's case, be it in providing a counterweight to China's rise in Asia, such as in India's.

Is Brazil better off looking towards China as a diplomatic ally instead of towards the USA?

Most of China’s aid to other countries is based upon loans that have to be repaid How China’s biggest debtors may struggle to repay their loans, China's secret aid empire uncovered and the loans have teeth or conditions that must be met, and are backed by natural resources. US loans have forgiveness or grants provisions built in, so they do not have to be repaid in full.If we use Maduro in Venezuela, he tilted the country towards China, and away from the US, and took billions in loans as ‘aid from China” but has now backed himself and Venezuela into a financial corner. Venezuela falls behind on oil-for-loan deals with China, Russia And because he has destroyed Venezuela’s creditworthiness and connections to the West he and Venezuela is in desperate shape.Even as an ally, China does not have the navy to support Venezuela if they are invaded. If I was a South American country, China would be my last resort.
