Is Brewers Yeast Same As Brewers Rice In Dog Food

How long will it take to see the results of Brewer's Yeast and Garlic on my dog?

Only thing brewers yeast and garlic are going to do is make your dog sick - garlic and onions causes some nasty blood diseases in dogs.

You need to find out what your dog is allergic to --- that means take him to a vet. shampoos are only going to make his skin dryer if that's the problem.

Cortizone spray and local treatment will NOT get to the root of his problems - could be an allergy to the food you feed, could be anything - take him to a vet.

Be sure he is flea free by putting a good topical liquid on his neck every single month, either Frontline or Advantage.
Benedryl liquid temporarily helps with the itching - be sure to dose according to the dogs weight.
If he has major allergies, he may need a cortizone injection from the vet, that provides fast relief, but you still need to find out what his allergies are.

Try Canidae chicken and rice dry kibble - I have 2 dogs with skin allergies and switching to this food has made an enormous difference - their allergies are gone.

What you are doing is both dangerous (yeast and garlic)
and useless (baths and sprays) --- you need to get to the cause of the allergies.

From your added comments, I see it is more complex than it initially seemed - but honestly, I question your vet's advice - no dog is going to respond well to garlic or yeast and feeding junk like Purina to a dog with allergies is pretty bad.
I can't imagine any vet not first telling you to put your dog on decent dry kibble, without corn meal as the main ingredient and all the nasty preservatives that Purina, or any supermarket dog food, has.

Please do some research on allergies, especially food allergies - and get a better vet.

Is corn good for dogs?

rice is okay, many people use rice to curb diarrhea.
corn although doesn't really digest correctly, and may also lead to kidney failure. Corn is subject to aflatoxin fungus. U.S. pet food makers test for it and STILL miss it, hence, the regular localized pet food recalls. By the way, this is a KILLER. The Diamond pet food recall of 2006 was associated with hundreds of dog deaths.

Raw Eggs is not good for the dog's skin/coat.
Here is a site that contains a list of foods that are harmful to dogs:
http://lowchensaustralia.com/health/dietno.htm
If you are looking to improve the skin and coat for your dog, try peanut butter. or brewers yeast, or missing link plus (which also contains glucosamine, good for hips and joints)

i personally don't like the wheat, corn, and soy in my dog's food so i try to stay away from foods that contain those recipes.

What are the best dog food nutrients?

I buy organic dog food from a company that’s been around for a long time. For many years they were just a small company that was dedicated to making healthy dog food. I used to see there dog food on a shelf in health food stores as far back as the 60s. I saw they had begun to make dog food from organic ingredients back in the 90s. Now they are selling lt at a reasonable price. when I started feeding this to my dog, her fur got shiny, her muscles became more defined and she looked so good that when I took her for I walk people commented on how beautiful she was. She was 1yr old when I got her, nothing but skin and bones, she had fleas and tape worms. She is 8yrs old now, has never been sick and is a beautiful dog. Dogs need mostly protein, but they need vitamins, minerals, essential fats like we do. And they can suffer from chemical food additives just like we do. The brand I buy is called Organix by Castor & Pollux. I also buy their one called Pristine…it’s made from things like free range meats, salmon, lamb…etc. blended with organic dog friendly fruits and vegetables. My dog loves this food and thrives on it. I also buy their canned food and I feed my dog food I eat, mostly meats. But when I make stirfry, I give rice and meat from the stirfry. So she gets fresh food, dry food and canned food. I also give her plain yogurt and a little bit of cows milk when she wants it. She gets occasional Doritos, cheezits and bunny grahams, each family members favorite snack food! I try not to give her things with sugar or white flour though, to protect her teeth.

Is Pedigree dog food good or bad for your dog?

If a dog foodstays inside the dogdoes not cause the dog to eat grass all the timedoes not cause elevated blood valuesis affordableis climate-friendlydoes not contain obscure ingredients like fantasy fish names or “algae”does not contain superfoods that cause botanists to have laughing fitsTHEN IT IS GREAT DOG FOOD!If Pedigree works fine for your dog, so be it. (Dear fellow quora users, a dog food does not have to contain 80 percent Wagyu beef….)Hills and Royal Canine are best if your dog needs a veterinary diet. (My 16-year-old labrador bitch would already be dead without strict “low fat”- diet. Rest of that dog is quite healthy but we could use a new pancreas… The 10-year-old has lymphocytic IBD and has to be fed a vegetarian diet. He gets severe diarrhoea from any kind of meat but is fine with his Hills/RC diet.)Please do not feed large amounts of meat. Dogs aren´t wolves and do not need this. Dogs ARE meant to be fed with corn, that is what most of them got the last 2000 years. A lot of meat does them more harm than good. (With the exception of working Greenlandic sled dogs, but I guess you do not live in Greenland and your dog isn´t an extremely wolf-like breed living outdoors in arctic winter.)Also, we do not want the human species to die out within the next 200 years due to extreme global warming, so any dog food with lots of meat is out of question. (Sorry, no Japanese beef for Fifi.)I also want to inform you that the non-scientific term “algae” applies to about 10.000 aquatic, autotrophic, pro- or eukaryotic organisms that are as closely related as myself and Ziggy The Cute Spider. If you feed your dog “algae”, you do not know what you feed (Photoautotrophic bacteria? Rhodophycea? Plants?), where it comes from (Fukushima?) and how it was harvested. (But of course we can always declare that dolphin, turtle, sea lion or drowned bird as “OceanWolfWilderness Premium Dog Food with tuna and algae” and print a wolf on the can. After all, shit happens.)I am certain your dog can do without chia seeds, sunflower tubers, powdered Aloe vera-leaves, Ginkgo fruits and … such. I haven´t yet seen a European wolf hunt for chia seeds and doubt very much our ancestors wanted Captain Cook to find new superfoods for dogs in Tahiti. (“SouthernSeaWolf with wild boar and bread fruits, wheat-free”… How does that sound? I think I might start to produce FROZEN RAW PREMIUM DOG FOOD. Some fellow quora users will pay me a fortune…)

What type of dog food, nutro nateral choice, nutro ultra or blue buffalow?

Blue Buffalo is the better choice & as pointed out when your pup is older the Wilderness formula is even better but too rich for a puppy- Nutro used to be a decent but they keep sliding down every year when they change their formula to lesser quality & smaller bags. You can add water to make food a bit softer if you are worried but chewing is good for your pup's teeth.

Have you ever fed your dog Loyall dog food?

No, I have never fed any dog Loyall dog food—and I wouldn’t.Chicken by-product meal, the first ingredient, is a dried product made out of slaughterhouse waste (ground chicken legs and beaks, intestines, and unavoidable feathers, for example). Chicken by-product meal and chicken meal are not the same. The second—fifth ingredients, ground whole wheat, brewer’s rice, ground whole corn, wheat bran (and then, seventh) wheat flour, are just fillers. (Brewer’s rice is small fragments of rice kernels that have been separated from the larger kernels of milled rice. These little pieces were traditionally used for brewing alcohol; hence, ‘brewer’s rice’. Brewer’s rice does not offer the high vitamin B hit that brewer’s yeast does.) Grains—and grain left-overs—are inexpensive products for the dog-food company, but not inexpensive for the dog. Dogs have little natural digestive support for breaking down and metabolizing complex carbohydrates and cereal grains. These difficult-to-digest fibers and grains remain undigested: the dog’s body relies mainly on fermentation to break them down. Over a long period of time, this can damage the lining of the digestive system, resulting in bowel inflammation disorders, food allergies, leaky gut and—as in humans—obesity.Dried beet pulp is a by-product of the sugar industry (dirt cheap). Some can be beneficial as fibre, but some breeds are very sensitive to it. Apparently, some breeders of Great Pyrenees will void their contract with buyers who feed their puppies dried beet pulp. What’s left? Chicken fat—which may be rendered not only from slaughterhouse chickens but from sick and dying animals picked up from farms, etc.Flaxseed is good. But whole flaxseed is not. It is more than likely to pass through your dog’s system completely undigested.Everything else in Loyall dog food is a preservative or a vitamin. Please don’t feed it to your dog. There are excellent foods available—and, of course, you can always make your own dog food. But food is really important: food affects your dog’s physical health, his mental health, his life span, his temperament. If you care about him, don’t feed him junk.(Ingredient list for Loyall dog food taken from Adult Dog Food Canada, Ontario, Quebec| Loyall Dog Food |Loyall Canada.)

Is ground rice bad for dogs?

i just bought nutro natural choice senior dog food and ground rice is the main ingredient followed by chicken meal. Is rice good or bad for dogs. I know corn is bad but is rice bad?

What Indian food can I give to my dog?

I am not in favor of giving dogs chapati or milk. Chapati is made of wheat which has gluten. Dogs cannot digest gluten, they can develop gall stones when fed chapati for a prolonged period.Dogs are inherently lactose intolerant so avoid giving him milk. But curd/buttermilk is fine. Paneer is a good source of protein if you don't give meat often.Rice is also OK but provided you give your dogs enough exercise as rice can be fattening. My dogs eat curd rice in summer.I give my dogs boiled vegetables like carrots, pumpkin, doodhi, peas, beans, cauliflower (as per availability) I mix boiled egg or paneer or boiled chicken/mutton in it. Sometimes I give dal chawal (cooked together) or rice and pulses (like a khichadi) during rainy and winter season. I make it like a broth (semi solid) so that it is easy to digest.I hope these charts help.
