Is Canada A Great Place To Live

Where is the best place to live in canada?

Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa recently ranked among the top 50 cities to live in the world. If you are looking to immigrate, Saskatchewan and Manitoba currently have programs in place to attract immigrants, and it can be easier to get your citizenship in either place. In the end, it really depends on what you are looking for. Canada, in general, has great public schools. Job prospects are best in Saskatchewan and Manitoba right now due to the rest of the country being affected by the recession. BC has the best weather (warmest winters) and is really beautiful. They are also ranked really well for health care. Alberta is a very rich province and a popular place for people to move in the last 10 years. Calgary can be a little pricey, but is also a really great city to raise a family in. Ontario has a lot of cultural heritage and most of the cities have a great overall appeal, although Toronto is quite a large city, and it can take a long time to get anywhere. However, there are a lot of nice suburban areas around Toronto that are pretty small town ish, but have the close proximity to the city. Ottawa is absolutely gorgeous and has a strong French heritage. Montreal is a great shopping city. If you don't speak French, you may want to stay away from Quebec, though. Although the province is bilingual, your children will likely need to learn French to do well in school, and you will need to be bilingual to be eligible for most jobs. The east coast is absolutely gorgeous with some of the nicest people in Canada. However, job prospects can be a little limited.

Wherever you decide, I know that you will love Canada. It is a great place to raise a family.

Is Canada a nice place to live?

Canada is a very sweet, multicultural and a friendly country to live in.

A very pleasant environment with lots of things to do. Friends are easy to make as well as many places to go out to.

Hope that answers.

Where is a safe place to live in Canada?

Ottawa is a “Bright City”. It is one of the world’s safest and most beautiful communities in which to live, work, learn, play, and raise a family. The city prides itself on its quality of life. It is home to a wide range of age groups from families with children to adult professionals to university students and senior citizens. As a G8 capital city, Ottawa is Canada’s showcase city to the world. It is endowed with a number of national museums and performing arts institutions, as well as a rich local cultural and heritage fabric. The city is graced with a civic design that places high priority on green spaces, parklands and trails, making Ottawa a bright and beautiful landscape for all to enjoy.

What is the best place to live in Canada?

It depends on what you do for a living, and what you enjoy. I've just returned from a few days in Regina, Saskatchewan. I was most impressed—what an absolutely shockingly pretty city! It would be a great place to live, but its economy is limited. You're not going to find a lot of dot-com developers or investment bankers there, but government jobs certainly exist, and I'd imagine energy and agricultural management opportunities are represented in the job pool.Vancouver is beautiful, the weather can be wet but at least not cold. However, it is insanely expensive, particularly for real estate. Single-family homes are pretty much out of reach for, I would say, all but the top 20% of us.Calgary’s an interesting place; sadly, currently in a slump, but its energy between slumps is appealing. It has finally (thankfully) gotten too big to just keep growing into its seemingly infinite surroundings, and so redevelopment of city neighborhoods has been a big emphasis over the past 5 or so years. The Beltline, Innisfil, and such spots are really exciting.Toronto is great (I love it) for a big city vibe, but can be a tough place for the wrong person. For instance, unskilled labor = a lifetime of living paycheque to paycheque and horribly long commutes from the further suburbs. There is also not a whole lot going on here in terms of manufacturing, so if you’re a die maker, for instance, it’s probably not your thing. The building trades, in contrast, do reasonably well, and anything white-collar (banking, law) is in good demand.Montreal is very cosmopolitan, sophisticated, and interesting, but difficult if you are not fluent in French. It has the lowest cost of living for a city of its size in Canada. And of course, there’s more than that…Saskatoon, Halifax, Edmonton, Winnipeg, are each the right spot for the right person. It depends, more than anything, on your age, income, education/career and family situation.

Is London, Canada a good place to live?

I used to live in London, until 2012.Whether it is a good place to live, depends on where in it you’re going to be living. Most families that are even slightly affluent have started to move to the north of the city instead, because the south is, well, mostly rubbish. (I lived in the south.)I would strongly recommend, particularly if you are an immigrant, against moving to Westminster, which is bounded approximately by Wellington Road, Southdale Road, Highway 401, and Highbury Avenue in this map of southeastern London:This is mainly a low-income white-majority area, with very few immigrants, and as a result your children are likely to face racism, depending on the school to which they go. There are two elementary schools serving this area: Arthur Stringer Public School, which is okay, and Wilton Grove Public School, which is absolutely pathetic. So rule out that area if you’re moving to London. If you are anti-immigrant, anti-Arab, or Islamophobic, don’t move to London, Ontario. There are lots of us Muslims there, mostly Arabs, and the numbers are only bound to increase with the Syrian refugee crisis going on.Otherwise, London, Ontario, is a great place to move, as long as you move into a good area with good schools.P.S. If you have intelligent children, you may want to consider sending them to Central High School, the #1 high school in Ontario, located in downtown London.

Why is Canada a safe place to live?

Canadians are not scared out of there minds all the time, if your sick you go to the doctors we have pretty good social assistance, prescriptions are free to anyone under 25 in ontario anyway. No one is allowed to carry concealed weapons of any kind that goes for stun guns pepper spray knifes that are automatic. And I believe the biggest reason is we just dont care about race not one little bit . We are extremely tolerant, this is not to say were perfect either. Our supposed national police the RCMP are a goddam disgrace as over 4000 woman mostly have lodged complaints of sexual harassment, we treat our native indians like shit . But deep deep down everyone here are pretty decent and mostly freindly except when we drive for some reason .
