What is a decadent chocolate?

For me, the most decadent chocolate treat is probably the Molten Chocolate Lava Cake, available at the Brioche Bakery in San Francisco on Columbus Street, near Pacific Street. Occasionally, I’ll buy 6 or 8 of these, bring them home, then heat one or two of them up in the toaster oven at 300 degrees for 9 minutes. (Including preheat time, it’s about 13 minutes.) The outside of the cake is baked to crispy perfection, and the inside is very high-quality, super-smooth melted chocolate, which is trapped inside until I cut open the cake with my spoon. I like to take one bite of cake (with molten chocolate in the same bite), then wash it down with ice-cold milk, then repeat until the cake is gone. Truly a decadent experience!I’ve eaten lots of “molten chocolate lava cakes” as desserts in high-end restaurants, and most of the time, they’re pretty good. But the lava cakes I get at Brioche Bakery (in my opinion) are actually more delicious and pleasurable. Being able to eat them at home and wash them down with my favorite ice-cold milk also makes a big difference in the experience.

How would you describe chocolate cake?

The moist chocolate cake melts in my mouth, sticky with fudge frosting on my tongue. The bitter and simultaneously sweet smell of it puts me in a serene mind state. I smack my full red lips together. With the rich deep shades of brown on every delicious layer this cake acts as a slice of happiness on a white styrofoam plate.

One proof of this is if you've ever attended a fancy Buffet for Mother's Day, they always have strawberries and whipped cream because they know women love strawberries.
