Is Cork Grease Flammable

Is cork grease flammable?

I mean the cork grease used for clarinets, saxophones, and oboes. It is flammable? Is it as flammable as vaseline or hand sanitizer? Can it be used as a fire starter in emergency situations?

(Just need to know this for writing purposes, haha.)

Is it safe to swallow cork grease?

No, its not. If cork grease was food it would be okay to eat it, but its made to keep your corks slick and your instrument easy to put together...so I do not recommend eating cork grease. If you do, maybe tell your mom/dad/guardian and see if you need to contact your physician.

Is cork grease at all toxic?

I havent been playing very long, but after using cork grease as lip balm once in a pinch, I've grown to like it better than chapstick. I had thought that it was just like Vaseline... I have recently been told that it is made from the same stuff as slide oil, which I know is poisonous. It's not any famous brand; it's just the one from my local music store (De Voe's). Will I get sick/die?

Is cork grease for instruments toxic and can It be used as Chapstick?

Today at school my lips were really chapped so I used cork grease that I use for my trumpet ( yes I know it's ment for saxaphones and clarinets but it works the same as trumpet slide grease ) as Chapstick. It worked really well so I put it in my pocket and used it the throughout the day and took it home. At home my mom said it is toxic and it is poison that will kill you if you take enough of it. I need to know so if I can use it or not anymore. Btw the cork grease is by Leblanc.

Is cork grease buffet paris for clarinet and saxphone toxic?

Traditional "cork grease" is a petroleum based product that clogs the pores and over time, reduces the cork's ability to absorb moisture and ultimately leads to the disintegration of the cork itself. This specially formulated, all-natural blend of non-toxic exotic waxes, oils, anitoxidants, stabilizers and Slippery Elm Bark Extract (Nature's Teflon) controls the dimensional stability and water balance while enabling smooth assembly and disassembly of your instrument.

Hundreds of generic lipbalms also exist, each with their own varieties and flavors, meaning there are several thousand Chapstick and Chapstick-like products available to consumers.

In formal shoes, which sole is comfortable: rubber or leather?

Before comparing both I would like to tell you that in bespoke formal shoes the criteria to be comfortable primarily doesn't depend upon the outer leather or rubber soles.Nodoubt there are some advantages of both in regard of their durability, grip and etc factors, but there are some disadvantages too.let me tell you a little bit, if we talk about the leather sole, there is nothing else more durable than this material, the designer or maker who makes the shoe put in a serious effort to make them durable by selecting a top quality calf leather as a sole, add some natural wax on it and polish it after the shoe is made with a Goodyear welted stitching technique which makes the sole a little bit tough or rigid, as you can see in the picture. On the other, hand there is no such thing in a rubber sole but these soles provide a very good grip because of different patterns and designs present on them and they are less rigid and tough as compared to leather soles.Coming back to the main point, the comfotness of the shoe depends upon the inner sole(in some cases a mid sole too) present in them. A high quality bespoke formal shoes( custom made) has a layer of cork embedded between the inner and outer sole which makes the shoe much comfortable as well as desirable to be worn. The problem is, such custom-fitted shoes are super expensive which creates an issue of affordability for the general public, so, What we do is we go and buy the readymade shoes with an average or desirable price with alot of compromises in different areas like the quality of leather, the sole etc. Obviously, they are not as comfortable as they are supposed to be so in order to compensate that issue most of people add an additional inner sole to make them worthy walking, happily. That's all what I know and have seen in my little experience in this field, hope this answers your question. cheers.

What are some great startup ideas for young entrepreneurs?

I have often wondered the same thing! Scalability is king, since you want to start small with relatively low risk. Maybe you don't have the skills or experience of older entrepreneurs, but you have the energy and the probably the backing of your parents as an asset. I have seen many a young person begin in the construction industry, ending up with their own contracting services. Something like a painting company is cheap, easy, and scalable. Wholesale items or drop shipping could be a nice passive source of income, though I wouldn't base an entire business off of it. Begin a food cart, selling hot dogs, burgers, pancakes, coffee, snow cones...really anything. These can be built and run for under a few thousand. You could of course start building an app and make millions and millions overnight...or you can put in the effort and learn from the school of hard knocks! Best of luck!
