Is Getting An 87 On The Global History Regents Considered A Good Grade

Is getting an 87 on the global history regents considered a good grade?

I should think that would be a very good score.

Is an 87 bad for a regents?

Not at all. In my opinion, as long as you passed and got over a 70, your fine. Colleges don't care so much about your regents grades. I didn't take earth science, but I took the living environment and chem regents, I got an 88 on living environment and only a 76 on chem. Youll have some good ones and bad ones. This year I got a 90 on US history and 91 on English. Your better at some things than others. All they Want to see is that you got your regents diploma, which requires only passing 9 regents, not doing spectacular on them.

Why don't Americans care about Canada's history the same way Canadians care about America's history?

The short answer which is pretty generalized but so is the question. The answer is Americans don’t care about history period. After close to 20 years living in the US I am becoming less surprised by how little Americans know about their own country's history let alone anyone else’s.Now this not to say that there aren't Americans who don't fit this model but they seem to be few and far between. Results from the 2010 gold standard of testing, the National Assessment of Educational Progress, only 13 percent of the nation’s high school seniors showed proficiency in their knowledge of American history, and only 18 percent of eighth grades and 22 percent of fourth graders scoring as well.Based on this quote those 87% who did not show proficiency are now, 7 years later the very people who vote or in some cases hold public office.History in all its forms; local, state, national, and world is just not considered an important part of a High school education. Therefore, “Why don't Americans care about Canadian history the way Canadians care about American history? They just have not had the same exposure. There is another reason which some would call narcissistic but I think not. As the dominant country in world affairs and a country that is also struggling with issues like racism, economic disparity, and political polarization plus moving from a blue collar economy to a technocracy Americans have more on their mental plate than many can deal with and therefore History, anyone's History is not a hot button topic.

What happens if u fail a living enviroment new york state regents exam?

If u fail the living enviroment regents, you have several options to choose from. You go to summer school and take it all over again and see if you fail this time. You can also take it in January. If all options fail then you have to take it all over in sophmore year. You must pass the living enviro either way because NY is mandatory to pass bio. Also New york state regents are suppose to be made easy so many people can pass it. Of course some are harder than others like Chemistry. Don't worry you have 4 years of high school and you need 2 science regnets. You prep yourself from barrons regents exams and questions. Whats good and bad about the mauryan empire?

The Mauryan Empire was established by Chandragupta Maurya about 324 B.C. This empire at its greatest extension included most of northern India and parts of what is now Afghanistan, Pakistan, and central Asia. Its most important ruler was Ashoka, who ruled from 272 B.C. to 232 B.C. He was a great military leader but the bloodshed caused by war left him with regret. He spent the rest of his reign spreading Buddhist teachings that emphasized nonviolence and the importance of duty. He had laws and moral teachings carved on great pillars that were installed throughout his kingdom. Unfortunately the Mauryan Empire began to dissolve after the death of Ashoka in 232 B.C. The Mauryan Empire was the first empire to provide a single government for almost all of India. During the Mauryan Empire public irrigation works helped farms produce rich harvests. Craftsmen made gold, jewelry, and wood products. The Mauryan Empire had trade relations with Greece, Mesopotamia, Malaya, and Persia. I haven't been able to find anything negative about the Mauryan Empire except that a system of inspectors, spies, and informers kept the people obedient to the emperor's will. So it was hardly a democracy. I hope that this has been some help to you.
