In the TV show Ghost Whisperer, there was a cliffhanger that never got explained: Professor Rick Payne (Jay Mohr) asked why there was one less shadow than there were people walking in the street. What is an explanation?

Excluding the possibility that one peson was standing directly behind another such that one shadow eclipsed the other, which evidently wasn’t the case as they were standing in a straight line and the sun (THE LIGHT) was behind them;The only thing that can’t cast a Shadow when illuminated is - Light Itself.Christ said “I am The Light of the World”; It suggests that one of the group is “The Light” and since there’s no gap in the run of 5 shadows they must’ve been standing on one or other end of the group, so, who was standing at the ends? A likely correct line-up is; Ned Delia Payne Melinda Beth based on people’s height compared to who they were standing beside. This, unsurprisingly, leaves Jim, the only person to choose to be Within Life ‘Resurrected’, first becoming his semi forgotten self in a new body, and later, when he again briefly loses his life by drowning in pursuit of saving Melinda in a Jim-like show of Absolute Faith, and she revives him, he fully regains memory of himself…………only for her to later forget that he’s not now identified as Sam Lucas when she give’s birth to Aiden!?The Hospital Staff must’ve been really confused when she called out the name of a man other than the husband who was with her. Awkwaaaard.I think arriving at the “explanation” of the 5 shadows is what the Series is about. What is The Light. Who and Where is The Light, and why is it that some people just walk & fade into nothingness while others head off to a Rock Concert or see “The Light” as a hot girl in a sports car…

Question: Why did Ghost Whisperer (TV show) get cancelled?Why?Declining ratings - The series was never a blockbuster and its rating falling made it easy for the network to cancel.Enough episodes for a solid syndication package - Even before the series left the air, it was already in syndication. With 107 individual episodes, there are just enough episodes for the series to be successfully put into a syndication package (the norm is usually 115–120 at a minimum)The star decided not to take a pay cut - In mature series, to maintain the program, the cast is often approached to take pay cuts. It’s clear that series lead Jennifer Love-Hewitt was not interested in this, and so the series was cancelled.
