Why is having a child important?
I agree with Lau.Stated another way, if we literally were worried about the continued existence of the human race, then having a child would be important on that global scale.Your individual choice to have or not have a child is a drop in the bucket, so to speak, with importance to the world population.Of course… if many people in a population start feeling the same way and do not reproduce, just a generation or two will shift the population’s outlook dramatically.On a more personal, familial level, it’s important to some families to “continue the family name” etc. If you have no siblings or cousins to alleviate you of this “responsibility” then perhaps it is important to you.On the most personal level, it’s important to an individual person to become a parent sometimes in profound ways. Perhaps it’s given more weight than it should, as those who struggle with infertility can find it to be the most important thing and feel greatly unfulfilled, preoccupied, and saddened by this. There’s a bit of idealism in the mix because having a child will not bring happiness to everyone.I think it’s the idea of love, so (hopefully) unconditional, wrapped up in this little person who is truly part of you. You look in your child’s eyes and see your own. You begin to see a person grow that you are helping to instill values in and mold their character. The first time you see that child do something reminiscent of you or the other parent (perhaps a small mannerism or way of speaking), you can picture the future and know “you” will be part of it in some small way. It can be very powerfully fulfilling.However, it is sacrifice to be a parent, and no longer do you live your life for you when you have children. Many things are put on hold or abandoned as your embrace the costs of choosing to raise children. This trade-off is not for everyone. And children do not deserve parents who resent them. It is, therefore, important for people who are self-aware enough to know they would resent the sacrifices of parenthood to not have children.
How important is it for you to have children?
Having children is a HUGE responsibility that will forever change your life. Some people realize that they are not really up for this lifetime commitment and that is honorable considering that there are so many unwanted children in this world. HOWEVER, your decision should be based on what YOU want in your life not based on what some one else’s decision are.I currently work with seniors and so many do not have children. Some stand behind their decisions but others have regretted not having any children. So it is something that you should decide for yourself.I know that being with someone and wanting them to support your decision is important. I would never knock that, especially because ideally children should have two parents, it is a lot of work after all. But should the day come that you have that inkling, that calling then I say go for it. Many single parents have done excellent jobs of raising children that even surpass what two parents could do.Good luck!
Why are children important in society?
Children are important to the community because they are our future. Who is going to pay for retiment funds when we are old? Children. Who is going to help solve the world's problems when they become even larger in the future? children. What i think is the current issue is that many don't care about getting a good education. many go to school to socialize and not really learn anything. It's basically a waste of time for them. of what i know i do not know of any thing they are doing to get the children motivated. constant praisal is beneficial but it depends how you use it. too much of a good thing is bad fo a person so too much praise will let the child think that he or she could do what ever they want. like i said above, if they care about their future, good for them. praise them. if the dont then let them be. see what happens In short, children are the future for the world.
Why is having children so important to Chinese people?
Chinese moral values are mostly based on the principle of blood relationships .This principle considers the stability and continuation of the family are the most important. To be honest,it is a backward point of view,which was originated in Agri-age ,an autocratic age which requires stability and the union of the family,but this principle still strongly prevails in contemporary Chinese society.On the contrary,the western moral values are mostly based on the relationships concerning strangers ,which was originated in Acient Greek,a commercial civilization that requires everyone do business or deal with the relationship with someone out of your family,It emphasizes on the single person ,expedition rather than family and stability.This difference can be also applied to the comparison of the the morality between two civilizations,by which i think Chinese should expel the backward moral values.
Meaning of Life: Is having children important to you? If so, why?
Becoming a parent should be a choice. One made after fully thinking about what that would mean to every aspect of your life. How would it affect your finances, relationships, hobbies, career, extended family, living situation, etc. My husband and I thought about all of this before we decided to start trying to have a child. I knew how special having a child could be, but you never really know until it happens. My children have shaped my entire life since I was in my twenties and I can't imagine where I'd be without them. The best part is that I don't want to think about that because they are the most important thing in my life. Of course a lot of hard times have come from having children, but the good times trump all of that. I think I'm a good person and I'm glad that I can teach my morals and values to my children so that they can go on to lead good lives and influence others in a positive way.

There is a bond that a mother gets to experience when she is pregnant. I don't think that adopting bad. If I wasn't able to have kids of my own then I would have gone that route.
