Is Hollywood Arts High School real?

No. There are of course performing arts high schools like Hollywood Arts High School. In fact, the idea of the show came to be when the star, Victoria Justice, told creator Dan Schneider of her experience at a performing arts middle school. He then created the show around the idea of a “normal” girl getting into one.‘Zoey’ pal gets own show

Is high school in reality like how it is in the movies?

Reality Vs. Movie And Television: High SchoolAfter watching numerous shows and movies set in high schools, I noticed a few differences. High school in real life is not the same as in movies or T.V. shows. In every movie or show, they portray high school the same way. Although high school is great, it is definitely not as glamourous as hollywood makes it out to be. Here's a few things about high school that you'll most likely only find on T.V. and in movies.1. They Never Seem To Be In ClassIn movies and T.V. shows, when you see the characters in school, they never actually seem to be doing work. They're either in the hallways, cafeteria, the gym, etc. but never actually in class learning.2. Cafeteria FoodAlthough school food might not be too good even in real life, it definitely is not as bad as T.V. and movies make it out to be. No, we aren't actually served some strange colored slop and questionable meat. And no, the lunch ladies aren't evil (well mostly).3. Passing TimeWhen our favorite high school characters are not in class (aka a majority of the time) they seem to have a massive amount of free time in between classes. At my high school we had six minutes to get from one class to another, sometimes barely making it. But, on T.V. and in movies, these students seem to have an infinite amount of time in between their classes. They're strolling around, sitting on the stairs and having full on conversations like they have no place to be.4. Gym ClassIn my high school gym class consisted of an excessive amount of time changing into and from our gym clothes and a short amount of time spent playing sports. On T.V. and in movies gym uniforms are a thing and 99% of the time they're seen playing dodge ball. Also, what is with the whole climbing the rope thing in gym?5. Randomly Breaking Out Into Song/DanceNo high school is not anything like it is in High School Musical (although that would be totally awesome). In my 4 years of high school, not once did anyone break out into a song or dance number. And how does everyone seem to know all the words and choreography to this supposedly "random" number.6. AgeA majority of everyone in high school looks like they belong in high school. None of us are 25 year olds secretly playing 17 year olds.7. Food FightsAlmost always, on T.V. and in movies there is a massive food fight. If you even lift a chicken nugget over your head, someone will stop you before you even got a chance to throw it.

Are American high schools as cliquish as movies suggest, is there really a queen bitch?

Certainly some do. Keep in mind the US is a huge place with around 37,000 different high schools covering an area the size of Europe, with massive cultural differences in different regions. That said, in my urban midwest high school there weren’t really any “queens” or “kings” among popular people. Certainly there were cliques, but it’s hard not to have different groups of friends in a high school with 1600 students. There were also students who were significantly more popular, but those were mostly students who had heavy involvement in things like Student Government, clubs, and advanced classes. Again, you can’t know everyone in a school with 1600 students. There certainly weren’t any popular students who abused their popularity to put others down like is often portrayed in films.

Are American high schools anything like the movies?

First. Yes jocks do get the most respect, but that's expected as they have to commit their time and are the face of many schools reputation in competitions. Cheerleaders are not all mean, but you'll see an occasional stereotypical one here and there. This is all from a public school perspective and one that is more academic based. I'm not sure about private schools. The food is trash as typical. There are groups, but they aren't all that selective and mean. Many times the most popular kids can be the nicest ones.

Do Americans really party as they show in Hollywood movies?

Yes,but not everyone and everywhere. Just like in India, people living in big cities like Mumbai, Delhi,Ahmedabad, Bangalore believe in party-things. The reason is their fast lives, overloaded workloads,work-life imbalance. Because of these, people need to do parties for refreshment.Similarly,People living in big cities like NYC and Miami believe in doing parties. While in other cities like New Jersey and San Jose, people do not believe in organizing parties at that big level.

Is high school in the USA seriously like how it is portrayed in movies and serials? Is there so much pressure to dress up and look cool?

No. High school reality is mostly lugging around backpacks filled with too many books; sneaking lunch into the library so you won't have to sit alone in the cafeteria; and fighting off sleep long enough to finish another day of 100 pages of highly detailed textbook reading.BONUS TIP TO MAXIMIZE YOUR DAY:When packing your lunch, remove all crinkly wrappers from your food. Put everything into polyethylene zip bags so you can quietly sneak bites in the library without the telltale rustle of paper bags or aluminum wrappers.

Do you think the movie american pie is realistic to the high school life or is it more like college?

LOL. more like neither.

Good luck finding a place where all that stuff happens.

Are there really cliques in high school- like the bitches and blah? or is it just a movie thing?

I'm in high school, don't worry it's not ALL like that! yes there are cliques and groups but it's not all like the types you see in movies. For example ppl tend to hand with certain clique's of friends, I dont really see any goths at my school, however there are those wanna bee's that everybody hates. I guess it really all comes down to which part of the states your going to. I'm in Texas so it might be alittle different from where your going.
But hey don't worry about it man! just make friends, good luck, have fun and welcome to the states!

P.S. Like I said before it really depends on were you move to. Hopefully though you won't end up in some ghetto school like the ones in Detroit, Chicago, L.A. or something since those can get kinda..violent with all the gang bangers. but don't worry I'm sure that wont happen. Good luck!
