Should I update my iPhone 6 to iOS 11?
Having tested iOS 11 on iPhone 6 and compared with iOS 10.3.3, I can tell you this for sure- iOS 11 is not nearly as well optimised for iPhone 6 as it is for the newer models.Talking about speed, iPhone 6 runs faster and smoother (though not much of a difference) on iOS 10.3.3 when compared to iOS 11. Also, the boot time increased from about 25 seconds to 35 seconds as I updated my firmware version.But I wouldn’t say that you should hold yourself back from trying the new features and perks that come along with iOS 11. Apple will continue signing the old firmware for sometime so that means, you can keep a back up of your iPhone, upgrade to iOS 11, try it out, and then you can easily come back to the old firmware. If you don’t know how to do it, you’ll find endless guides on the Internet to help you.If you find that the new features are worth the compromise in the speed of the phone, do not downgrade to iOS 10 and keep using iOS 11.But I would not recommend to keep upgrading your iPhone further as more updates roll out. Think twice before doing so because Apple practises scheduled obsolescence. Your iPhone will only get slower. Apple doesn’t want its users to hold on to its old models. So the optimisation of new software will keep on getting worse.
Why cant i update my iphone 5s to ios 10?
I didnt get any notification yesterday and i also saw that the time ios 10 to be released in my region was 7:00 pm and after 7:00 pm i didnt get any notification i went to settings and software update it took some time to show me the news and it showed me ios 10 but it freezed i couldnt scrow down to install it and i pressed the home button and went to the home page.. I couldnt even get out of there without pressing the home button and after a hour i opened it again and everything was fine but i didnt check for an update again.. I still havent received any notification otherwise i always receive! And yeah, i asked my friend, she has iphone 5, i asked her if she received a notification she said no.. Whats the problem? How to solve this? And should i upgrade it to ios 10? I have also heard that emojis are changing! Is this true? And have you upgraded ur iphone to ios 10? If yes, tell me whats new and whats the problem with my upgrading.. Thank u:)

It won’t probably get iOS 13 because the iPhone 6 has an A8 chip. iPhones typically get updated for about 4 years. 8 +4 =12. So it should get updated to iOS 12. So the 6S will get iOS 13 and the 7 will get 14 and so on.

If its not Factory Unlocked, DONT UPGRADE! You will brick your iPhone. You can only try iOS 5.0b2 if you are a apple developer, which you can make a account for $99.99, there is a way around it to install it on your device via a bug, but for one thing, you will not be able to get out of the beta once the public release is out, so it will render your device unupgradeable as well as very buggy...just wait for the public release unless you wanna beta test for $99.99

For instance, the recent nude celebrity "hack" didn't target the peoples' phones...but their accounts on Apple's iCloud servers by guessing passwords. Again, this stresses the importance of always using strong passwords for all your accounts.
