Is Is Something Serious Or Just Panic Attack Again

Having a severe panic attack!!?

You need to tell yourself, because you know this to be true, that your physical symptoms; erratic heart beat, fight or flight feeling, heavy breathing, fidgeting, pulse, temperature, are all a result of a reaction your brain is responding to,,,not what your brain is seeing or finds logical. YOU are at no physical risk for injury, no need for alarm, but this is one of those situations where your mind overrides, your senses.

Do a light medial task,, that is repetitive.. and focus on it.. try darting your eyes from one corner of the room that you are in, (look up at the ceiling, focus on one corner) , then draw an adjacent line to the other corner. Allow your mind to focus on this action several times. Remember, whatever it takes to conquer these attacks, only makes you more powerful the next time, so try anything, and any given suggestions. Gain control and focus!

Now,, tell yourself ALOUD, that there is nothing to worry about,, (insert your name here) and go back to the repetitive vision exercise. You will grow weary of this, but it does offer a calming effect, and this single action can reduce your heart rate.

It's all about understanding how we get panic attacks, not our bodies reactions to them.. this is what we focus on more.. but I'll assure you now, if you know what causes them, and know how to deal with them, they can subside.

Remember panic attacks don't last for several days, they occur in sessions, or intervals.. this WILL pass, and you have to endure it,, but you can fight it,, and get mad about it, to over power it. and that's what I advise you to do. In my opinions, medications just make you calmer, but do not deal with the issue of what causes them,, so I want to offer you tools to deal with it.

I wish you well and if you need me,, please leave an additional comment on your inquiry. Good luck and my best to you.

Marijuana induced panic attack?

Habitual use of marijuana, panic attacks?
After 2 years of smoking marijuana, the last two times I have gotten awful panic attacks. One was bad enough to send me to he hospital because I thought I was having a heart attack. I quit smoking for 17 days and tried it again, once again the panic attack returned. Ive smoked 4 days a week over the last 2 years, only after I took care of responsibilities first. If I quit smoking for 3 or 4 months and begin again will these attacks return. PS. nobody put anti marijuana bullshit I just want honest answers. Im a 4.0 student at Ohio State. So people with bad impressions of Pot smokers need a new perspective

Is there a way to cure severe, random panic attacks without benzos?

I’m sorry to hear you are going through a difficult time.In answer to your question, there are lots of possible treatment methods you can try. While none of them will be overnight cures, they may help you manage your panic attacks. You could try:Therapy (there are many different options, including CBT, which some people find helpful) or perhaps even just talking to someone about what you are going through as a first stepHomeopathic remedies: these aren’t strong medications like benzodiazepines so risks of addiction etc., are not present. While they may not be strong enough to provide instant relief from a severe panic attack, they could help reduce your anxiety level overall.Exercise: regular exercise can help “re-wire” the brain in a more positive light. Some people find it helps them feel calmer.Quitting caffeine (this may ease certain “jittery” feelings that could lead you to believe you are panicking, thus leading to a full-blown attack).Getting enough sleep per night: eight hours being the recommended amount. Being rested can help you feel more relaxed and therefore decrease the chances of panicking. These are just a few of the things you could do to help manage your panic attacks. I’m sorry to say there is no outright cure. There is nothing you can do to guarantee you’ll never have a panic attack again, but many people find that certain methods (such as the above) help them manage their panic attacks, reducing the chances of them having one.If you are considering what to do in an attack, where you don’t want to use medication to neutralise the situation, I would recommend having someone with you (if possible) who could talk or sit with you, or having a mantra you can say to yourself or something you can do as a distraction from what you are going through.I hope this is useful and all the best.
