Is that supposed to be some kind of insult?”The alt-right is on the extreme end of the political spectrum. Somewhere between libertarianism and full-on fascism (it mostly is fascism.) Compared to them almost everyone is liberal and does indeed disagree with them.The right-wing attracts the juvenile and ridiculous of society. Violence and ignorance and hating everything from government to those who are different are easy and exciting, but ultimately self defeating. As part of this ease the alt-right finds it fun to insult everyone about everything. It’s cheap and stupid, but there you go.The Atlantic this month has a long article on a typical member of the alt-right. In short, it describes a lazy man of poor education and few prospects (and who may be bi-polar) who took heaps of drugs and went wild with his obsessions.
