Is It Alright To Give A Toddler Unfiltered Apple Juice

Which is better for you- filtered or unfiltered apple juice?

Unfiltered is where it doesn't get all the chemicals out I believe so filtered would be better and there is unsweetened apple juice which I give my son who is 4 and it taste just as good if not better apple cider is an example of unfiltered and it might me to acidly for your sons stomach

Is unfiltered apple juice safe for my 11 month old?

It is safe as long as your child isn't allergic to apples. Just because it is unfiltered, doesn't mean that it hasn't been cooked to kill bacteria.

I always cut juice with 50% water, simply because of the high sugar content in the juice. Remember, any time that you process anything, you've altered it's intended form and it will cause some type of effect to occur. I found that the effect of apple, orange or any other juice on my daughters, was that it made them really hyper because of the high sugar content. Whether the sugar is naturally occurring or not, sugar is sugar and it requires burning by the body, hence hyperactivity and tooth decay.

You might want to stick with water. Juice isn't really that healthy of an alternative. If you want your 11 month old to have a treat, give the child an apple, it's good for the digestion and the sugar molecules are attached to fiber for slower absorption! Good luck, hope this helps you.

Can a toddler drink cranberry juice?

i dont see why not. cranberry juice is very good for adults and kids but i would ask your doctor just to make sure because i think they say the first year or two to watch out for eggs and fish and weird stuff like that so they dont develop and allergic reaction or anything but i dont know if cranberry juice is on the list

If I leave apple juice in a glass out in the sun, will it turn alcoholic?

I constantly, repeatedly, and with great results ferment RAW, UNPASTEURIZED, ORGANIC apple cider that I squeeze and juice myself. Most apples have wild raw yeasts on their surface, and few harmful bacteria if handled with a modicum of care and cleanliness. These yeasts will spontaneously ferment fresh cider(NOT PROCESSED JUICE!) if left in a resealable, strong container left at room temperature or even(more slowly), at slightly chilled(45–70F). It will “work” for a few days to a week and form CO2 gas that will lightly carbonate the juice. Be careful to once per day, release at least some of the CO2 so you don’t end up with a fizzy bomb. Sample occasionally and drink it when the taste and fizziness are optimum. The alcohol level might reach 2 or 3%. If I want strong cider, I add fermentable sugars and brewing yeast, but I use an specifically engineered fermenter to be safe, and subsequent bottling techniques. Some will warn you how “dangerous” raw, unpasteurized, fermenting can be. I have never had a bacterial contamination in by brews, but have detected bacterial contamination many times by the smell alone on cooked and raw food left in a refrigerator for a week. So, relax and try it. Remember, Organic because you don’t have to overwash the pesticides off of the skin along with the natural yeasts, Unpasteurized so you don’t kill the natural favorable yeasts, Raw so the sugar converting enzymes aren’t destroyed (VERY IMPORTANT). And relax, have a home brew! You won’t be able to buy raw, unpasteurized cider in most any store. You may have to visit an oldtime cider mill , like in my Connecticut hometown where the local mill sells raw cider by the gallon, and barrel to oldtimers who have been making hard cider their whole lives THIS EXACT WAY. Or buy organic apples and juice them yourself. Done! Prost !

Whats the difference between apple juice and baby apple juice?

Not a thing! They market it under different names example Gerber, so to make the consumer think they are doing something wonderful for there child buy purchasing the name brand infant, when in the end the Walmart version is fine also.

I would dillute any juice you give your child with Half water and Half juice so you do not rot there teeth out early. No sodas at all!!

Everytime I drink apple juice or other juices containing apple juice, I feel pain on my chest, around my heart. I can eat normal apples. Why is this?

I have suffered from this, my whole life! A few of my kids can’t tolerate apple juice, either. It also happens to me with certain other fruits at times. Not always, but at times. The pain is intense and lasts for about 20 minutes or so and then dissipates to nothing. I remember as a kid lying on the floor with my bare belly enjoying the cold lino while writhing in discomfort. I avoided apple juice most of the time after we realized that was the culprit! I think it has to do with the level of either pectin or fructose, which can be kind of cleansing to the liver or harder to digest, for some. Just this afternoon, I had a cup of blueberries that hit me hard with discomfort!!! I ate them last week with no trouble-WTH?? Would love to know the exact digestive mechanism or disorder involved in this. I have found Apple juice, anything with fructose like alcoholic coolers or juices, watermelon and blueberries to be my biggest triggers for this chest/upper abdomen/upper back pain. Similar to when I used to have gallbladder attacks… I no longer have a gallbladder but this brings back memories ;)
