Is It Bad Being A Pothead

What are the pros and cons of being a pothead?

I smoke 5 to 6 times aweek, 3 to 5 times a day, ive been doing so for the year and a half, im 18, im just curious, what are the pros and cons, I want to see ur opinons, today is my sober day so thats why im asking this, im bored as hell

Why is dating a pothead bad?

I'm an extreme pothead and it totally matters. My ex was really straight edge and didn't like it and I think that was the problem with that relationship. I think if both partners agree upon it, it can actually bond the two making them see each other 'from a different angle'. You can't always use what other people say, sometimes you have to make the choice for yourself on what feels right to you.

Spencer,

Why would someone become a pothead?

Thanks for the answers.. I understand the new perspective that being high gives you, however, I don't understand why once that perspective is gained, you can't hold on to that sober. I feel like I have. I don't know though. Maybe I am missing out. I feel like I have a very fulfilling life but I suppose some people are not so fortunate. I'm not judging, just still not completely convinced it is a legitimate way of life.

I Think My Cat Is A Pothead. How Much Should He Smoke?

What? I think your the pot head.

Why do people think all potheads have bad grades and will never become successful?

I'm going to answer this question by quoting research on the subject: Imaging studies in human adolescents show that regular marijuana users display impaired neural connectivity in specific brain regions involved in a broad range of executive functions like memory, learning, and impulse control compared to non-user. Frequent and persistent marijuana use starting in adolescence was associated with a loss of an average of 8 IQ points measured in midadulthood. Significantly, in that study, those who used marijuana heavily as teenagers and quit using as adults did not recover the lost IQ points. Users who only began using marijuana heavily in adulthood did not lose IQ points. These results suggest that marijuana has its strongest long-term impact on young users whose brains are still busy building new connections and maturing in other ways. I'm assuming you're a kid. THIS IS WHY it's not a great idea to BE a pothead as a KID. Your brain is still developing and pot kills brain cells you never get back.As a fully formed adult you're fine but a kid? Still growing and developing? You're killing your brain cells.

Would being a pothead at 16 stunt a teen’s growth?

Yes. Just yes. I’ve lived through the 60s and 70s and seen it from start to finish, more than once. One joint will cause infinitesimal damage, just like one cigarette. But how many people smoke just one cigarette, or just one joint? It happens sometimes, but after the first, you’ll think of the second. And then the third, and so on, and then one day you’re addicted and you have no idea how many you’ve smoked. It’s easier not to smoke the first, but if you already have, then the next best option is not to smoke the second. And then the third, and so on, and then one day it is suddenly harder than you could imagine not to smoke the next one. But even then it will be easier than after the nest one. When is the best time to plant a tree? Remember the Chinese proverb:“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”When is the best time to stop smoking (cigarettes or pot)? The best time was when you started. The second best time is now. And, by the way, smoking pot also damages your lungs. It may not be physically as bad as tobacco, but inhaling smoke of any type over a long period will damage your lungs.

Why are Potheads always in denial about weed?

I don't use it. I don't use tobacco either. Clearly inhaling smoke is bad for you. The question is whether it should b illegal. While I can see keeping hyperaddictive drugs like crystal meth or cocaine or heroin illegal because they are so addictive that they effectively rob the person of free will, pot does not. It's no more addictive than cigarettes. Perhaps quite a bit less addictive by some studies. Nicotine is the third most addictive drugs according to some sources...virtually tied with crack cocaine.

If you want to keep it illegal you have to come up with a good argument for why tobacco should be legal and marijuana not. And there isn't one.
