Working out twice a day is it bad ?

No - but have some fun. Don't try to kill yourself or you'll quickly tire of it.

If you want to really build muscle (like the big-muscle boys), you work out every other day. You get a good burn and then lay off the next day to rebuild. If you work out everyday hard, you'll injure your muscles and not give them a chance to bounce back.

So if you're exercising and having fun, you can certainly do it often. But don't work until there's much pain.

As a triathlete, I work out twice a day almost every other day. But I do not do 2 sessions of the same activity two DAYS in a row. This morning I ran 8 miles and this afternoon I did an 'easy' 3000 meter swim in intervals to recover from the run. I will not double up on one activity--it is a waste of time, which is what most triathletes have very little of.

Let me explain. You are not accomplishing anything by doing the same workout twice a day. You get 'stronger' when you are resting, when your body has a chance to repair, rejuvinate and adapt -- (Personally I take 2 days off for either easy active recovery or just go couch potato and play with my kids.) You did not give your body a chance to adapt at all and probably undid any benefit you may have gotten from your first workout and prolonged the amount of recovery time. It's also dangerous when doing heavy weights -- you will injure yourself and miss a lot of workouts.

Be careful and use some common sense.

I guess it doesn't hurt you to do that (if you have time!), but it's really not necessary. I've seen buff guys who work out only 30 minutes a day! I guess sometimes people are tempted to work out more than once a day becuase they are busy most days of the week, but it's really better to spread out your workouts on different days. The best "quick" technique for losing fat on your body is to just do lots of cardio.
