Is It Better To Own And Buy A Home Or Rent A Home/ Apartment

Should I buy a house or rent a apartment?

Me and my girlfriend are not planning to have kids. And we have made that final decision day

And now we are seeing if its more logical to buy a home or rent an apartment we really just want to live life without a gazillions of responsibilities

Is it better to rent or buy a home?

It all depends on your situation. Making home repairs can get rather expensive, like putting on a new roof or replacing the furnace which can reach a substantial amount.

If you dont want to ask or rely on someone to make repairs for you, then buying a home is for you. If your the handyman type, then having a home is no big deal. Simple repairs are just a regular day for you. Home maintenance, as I said above, can get really expensive. Every so often, you do have to put a roof on the place and that amount is in the thousands, and can be even more costly if you hire a company to do it. Appliances do break like the refridgerator, oven, air conditioner and those are not cheap either. You have to plan ahead for repairs such as your roof or an appliance breaking down. Your the only one to fix things, not a landlord.

When you rent, you rely on someone else for maintenance of your property and basically pay someone else's mortgage for them. If your not paying the mortgage, rest assured that you are at least paying the taxes on it along with a profit to the landlord, who may set the excess aside for repairs or upgrades. You also run the risk of being given a 30-day notice to move by the landlord, unless you have a lease that is in effect. If your okay with this, then renting is what you need. If you cannot plan ahead or set aside money for repairs, then renting is what you need.

I will tell you that I would rent a house over an apartment just for the privacy. You generally dont have to worry about how much noise you make, unless your neighbors are really close to you. Your bills may amount to more, but you have to weigh the cost of living in a home as compared to an apartment and what your income allows. Homes are usually better insulated and hold heat/AC better, but this is not the case in mobile homes. I hope this has helped.

Rent or buy a home?

I'm 24 years old, and I'll soon be making the decision of either buying or renting a home. I'm single, no kids, no wife, just me. I have about $2000 in my bank account. The only time I've moved out was with a friend for about 6 months and have been back home ever since. I plan on living in the area for some time. I have a secure income. I've been looking for places to rent, however it seems more expensive to rent than it is to buy. This is completely new to me and am looking for advice as to what direction would be best. Thanks!

Buying a mobile home vs an apartment?

30K-60K
Me and my mom want to move out from my grandparents house. I will be making 2400-2800 a month as a vet assistant + working weekends. I think a apartment is throwing our money away. If i save up a lump some of money and buy a movile home and an acre of land . All i would pay is property taxes and home taxes. No rent at all. I plan on saving up enough to pay edleast 70% of the home. Or pay it in full if i cant get a loan . I dont care if it goes down in value idont want to sell it. I will probably keep it forever if i find my perfect mobile home. I also want to pay in full so if i get layed off i dont have to worry about a mortgage , will have an emergeny daving for food and utilites and such. Also i dont want to buy a house to expensive rather live mortgage free. I would invest in solar panels also And i i have to bring in my own propane water ill have to figure something out
