Is It Considered Stolen

Does stolen kiss can be considered first kiss?

I know it's technically first kiss as counts and physically, but emotionally it's terrible.

What do you think?

A boy in 8th grade kissed my lips out of nowhere. I'm 16 now and IDK.

Is it considered stolen valor if one is wearing a Marine Corp camouflage with a camouflage cover?

No. Simply put (and very loosely defined), stolen valor is when an individual intends to deceive others into believing they served, either in entirety if they didn’t, or more gloriously than they did.If the individual is intending to represent themselves as a service member and/or is making claims that they were a service member or did things (even if they were a service member) that they didn’t do, then they would be guilty. Essentially.Wearing components of a uniform doesn’t immediately make one guilty of stolen valor. It just means they have really poor taste in clothes or no other options available to them. With that said, individuals who wear uniforms or components of uniforms and walk around town accepting free things as a result of their attire are wrong and deserve to burn. That’s stolen valor with or without intent.

How much stolen money is considered a federal offense?

The amount has nothing to do with whether or not it's a federal offense. Who it's taken from, and sometimes the means by which it is taken, do.

Is it considered stolen valor for a teen to wear a military cover?

Just the cover? Nah...doesn't rise to the level of stolen valor imo. I assume we're talking about a high school kid who clearly isn't old enough to have served in the military, so it's not like anybody would believe him even if he purported to serve. Some Marines get kind of testy about people who wear the EGA without having earned it themselves by going through boot camp. Admittedly I used to be one of those Marines, but I've relaxed quite a bit about it since then. Consider how you can go into any number of gift shops and buy shirts, etc, with an EGA for everybody from your brother to your grandma to promote your Marine status and puff up your ego. It's kind of hard to get bent out of shape over one kid with a cover, who's most likely wearing the thing because he aspires to the title one day for himself. I don't see an issue with this. ...even your girlfriend can get in on the act. For crying out loud, how does she even rate?!

What is considered stealing company time?

Anything you deliberately do that isn't work. Using the bathroom isn't stealing company time because everyone has to use the bathroom. Using the bathroom for 15 minutes an hour would be stealing company time because it isn't customary and usual.

Reading Yahoo! answers and answering questions from work would certainly be considered stealing company time!!

You don't go to jail for it, you lose your job for it.

good luck!

Is it considered stolen valor by wearing the Marine Corps logo pin on your shirt but not the uniform?

Technically Stolen Valor is when you claim to be a Veteran or Active Duty Service Member. So if you wear the pin and tell everyone that you are a Marine you can be accused of Stolen Valor. However just wearing random military memorabilia or regalia does not constitute Stolen Valor. In fact Stolen Valor isn't even a crime, unless you are make fraudulent claims of military service in order to gain some form of monetary (or other) benefit. So feel free to wear that pin, just don't lie to people or pretend to be a Marine. Most of us Marines won't appreciate it if you do. Some really surly crayon-eaters might not even be able to control their impulse to attack you. (Yea there are Marines out there who can't react reasonably or behave civilly in public when they see the Marine Corps disparaged.) So be careful when wearing military emblems. So to recap: wearing a military pin is not Stolen Valor. Pretending to be a Military Service Member (or Veteran) is Stolen Valor. So whether you wear the uniform or not, you'll be stealing valor (whatever the fuck that means) if you pretend to be a Military Member, so don't do it. Finally go ahead and wear the pin, but with caution.Good luck friend.

Is it still considered Stolen Valor by wearing a foreign military uniform in the USA?

Yes... sometimes. H.R.258 only states "Military Decorations or Medals" and not U.S. military or Uniformed Service Members (to include Fire Fighters, Police, other First Responders or federal employees other than Military. So, if you are wearing a foreign military uniform in the USA "with the intent (KEY WORD) money, property, or other tangible benefit, fraudulently holds oneself out to be a recipient of a decoration or medal described in subsection (c) (2) or (d) shall be fined under this article."However, if you're wearing it because it blends in on your milsim/airsoft course or because you traded BDUs with some foreign national on a Expeditionary tour and want to workout in fatigues, that's totally fine; the intent is what makes it an offense.

Is pretending to be an astronaut considered a stolen valor?

No, just pathetic.

Do you consider it stolen valor for a civilian to use military surplus gear/unis for of their utility, not their symbolism?

To a point. Surplus uniforms are OK to be used by civillians without badges or ranks or names. Medals are not. There was a case where a surplus uniform of the army was found in a neighbouring country replete with badges, rank and even the name tag. We always wondered who threw / gave away that uniform and what happened to him.But try not to go overboard like what what physical fitness instructor said. Don't wear a physical fitness instructor singlet while looking unfit and huffing and puffing with every step..BTW there is a very thin line between using surplus army uniform because they are useful and durable and using surplus army uniform with intent to impersonate an army personnel. The line can be vague but the line is the difference between legal and illegal behaviour.

In the USA, is it considered a theft if you pick up something?

There is an old saying here - “Finders, keepers - Losers, weepers”. Anytime, you find a small value thing, money or a coat, or —-, you ware probably not committing a crime by picking it up and keeping it. For example, I was on a cruise ship, in the casino at a very late hour. I saw a couple walk away from a slot machine, and the machine was binging - they had about $35 in winnings in the machine. I ran after them and told them about it - they said they did not care, and so I cashed out the machine. No harm, no crime. But, if there had been $35, 000 in the machine, I would have told them, and if they did not care, I would have notified the casino manager. I would have assumed they were drinking or some such thing, and my action would cause harm or end up a crime. If you are in a restaurant, and find a $20 bill on the floor, no problem. Or an expensive fur coat left on a chair - problem. That one you would pick up and hurry away, a sure sign you just stole something - so you know when it is wrong.
