If a man has illegal relationship with a married woman, then he can be punished under section 497 of the Indian Penal Code. But the woman can't be punished even as an abetter.However a married man, if he is involved in an illegal relation with an unmarried woman, it is not an offence and cannot be punished.

Even today, in the United States, there are states that allow marriages to young women who are 14 years of age, not to mention many, many other places in the world. Mocking other's faith simply makes you look ignorant.
Whats up with all these teens getting engaged?
Yes. You can't even legally get married on your own. You can't even rent a car or enter into a contract (so you can't rent your own apartment). Considering that you aren't an adult, your brain isn't developed, you haven't even graduated high school and you can't even do the married thing of providing for yourself--what does "engaged" mean? I thought the old fashioned thing involved the dad sitting down and asking how the boy will provide for his daughter, but I guess these kids expect mom and dad to still pay for it all. The divorce rate for teenage marriages is about equal to that rate of 5 year olds that actually marry that person they are going to marry "when they grow up." I wonder if its the new term for going steady and that somehow if you are going out, you think saying "engaged" means people will take you seriously. If they only knew it actually makes people think you are LESS mature than they previously thought. It proves you know nothing about life or marriage. Now I met my husband at 15, so I believe you can have true love--but we went to college and graduated before we decided to get engaged. I just wish the peers of these children would mock them for being stupid--the same way my class used to mock those that were high school dropouts. Peer pressure might help convince them that if it was true love--it would still be true love 5 years later.
I'm a 20-year-old girl dating a 17-year-old boy. A lot of people say it's creepy. Why do they think that?
Well, I don’t think its creepy, but then I was raised in the 70’s when the economy was a lot better (ruling elite only taking 40% of the country’s income instead of the 99% they are taking now) and people weren’t so conservative. (People get more conservative as money gets more scarce).As it stands now, you could be looking at a prison sentence, so I would worry more about the legal ramifications than whether or not people think your activities are creepy.I’d say its much more creepy to have a 60 year old guy dating 20 year old girls, (a 40 year age difference vs. your 3 year difference) but both people are of legal age and can do what they want.Your guy is not legal and you could go to prison over it. I guess you’ll be ok as long as you don’t have sexual relations with him. So wait the few months til his 18th birthday, then have at it.And don’t waste time worrying about what other people think. Some knucklehead anywhere is always disapproving of something, and if you worry about that, you’ll never be able to do anything. Just make sure your behavior is always lawful, and you should be good to go. Full creepy ahead!
