If you are on the line in a parking lot are you illegally parked?
you know....2 lines make up a parking space. you're supposed to park between those lines. if your vehicle is parked ON one of the lines, are you illegally parked?
What are the parking laws for Texas? Can I park in the yellow lines next to handicap parking?
As I stated, I was not blocking the vehicle. That includes access to any part of it. The area in question is about 8' wide and streaches the distance of 4 parking places. The cement post with the signs posted to them block vehicle ramps from extending into the area and the curbs stop cars from parking in the area. My father is handicap; I am very conscious of where I park and access to and from the spots. Answer found (DMV): Texas law only mandates that stores provide handicap parking. The yellow shaded area is not part of the space. Being on private property, no tickets can be issued unless I park in the handicap space or block it.
Is it illegal to make a left turn with double yellow lines?
I didn't want to attempt it and get pulled over but it got me wondering. If there are 2 lanes for each side and the middle is separated by double yellow lines, and there is no middle turn in lane, can you just stop and turn left? Or is that illegal? It's not a house driveway, it's a parking lot to a business. Here's an image of the situation. Is it illegal to be parked on the side of the road without a yellow or white line indicating a division?
I don't know what planet this cop is from, as far as I know in an accident it's the car that collides from behind that is automatically at fault. It can't be your fault as you say you were parked. Because you park your vehicle anywhere does not excuse any other driver for being blind or lack of concentration. It's called reckless driving.
