Can you share your netflix account with your friend?
I was thinking about letting my friend also use my netflix account but I heard that this goes against the contract and might be illegal. But what if you create a profile for them to use under the same account? I know profiles are usually used for people in the same household but I thought maybe I could create a profile for my friend as well. Also, can you watch netflix on your computer while someone watches netflix on theirs at the same time? How does this work?

A friend wants to use my netflix account, should I let him?
I was at a friends house and we watched a movie on netflix, but I had to go before we finished the movie. I told him to feel free finish watching the movie on his device. The next day he said that he got logged off of netflix and asked for my username and password so he could finish watching the movie. I ended up changing the password on the account and they giving him the new password. Over the last few days he has been using the account quite heavily way beyond the initial request to watch a single film. Should I make a big deal out of it and kick him off the account or just let it go in the interest of avoiding a conflict? Am I letting something that is really insignificant bother me when it shouldn't?

Technically, it's against the contract you 'signed' with Netflix when you started the service. It isn't illegal, it's just against the contract. If a couple of people are streaming movies on one account at a time, they won't have a problem with it. Especially if it's coming from the same shared network. You start streaming movies from separate networks at the same time and they might start taking notice. Several networks at the same time and they might just cut off the service.

Just give her your user and pass, yup it will work! You will be able to see what she watches and that will affect your recommended shows/ movies.
