Is It Illegal To Work 22 Hours Straight In Tennessee

Is it illegal to have straight pipes no muffler?

As already mentioned it is 100 percent illegal. The law requires mufflers and if a cop thinks your vehicle is too loud they can do a sound test on it. I used to drive a 440 powered Dodge 4x4 when I lived in Florida and it had two and a half inch dual exhaust going through 3 chamber Flowmaster mufflers. It kept the sound down for normal driving but when I floored it the truck was loud. Used to get pulled over by the cops in Florida for having a "rusty" exhaust system but once I pointed out that the truck had very little rust in the exhaust and they saw it was complete with mufflers they would let me go. It was nice having the performance mufflers but it got to be a pain getting pulled over every time I floored it to pass someone.

I would not recommend straight pipes on a fuel injected daily driver. The engine needs at least a little bit of back pressure for the fuel injection to work right.

If you still want to go with a loud exhaust here's 2 ideas for you. The first one is to run a type of muffler that goes on the end of the exhaust pipe that is made by a company called Supertrapp. The noise level can be adjusted by adding or subtracting baffles (disks) in the end of the muffler. I've run this type of muffler on my motorcycles and I really like them. The second idea is one I have seen friends do and is cheap if you have a welder and know how to use it. They would remove the stock muffler, cut open the topside of it, take out the baffles, and weld a straight piece of pipe from input to output. When you're done weld the topside back up and re-install. What you end up with is what looks like a stock muffler if a cop does a quick check on your vehicle. If you don't know how to weld it would be cheaper to buy a Flowmaster muffler then to pay what a welder would charge for the mod to a stock muffler (plus many welders know this is illegal and most likely won't do it for you anyhow).

Is it illegal to work 22 hours straight in tennessee?

I work at a fast food place as assistant mgr (hrly) is it legal to work 22 hrs a day? I was forced to do a open to close there for I'll be there for 22-23 hrs. Could I get in trouble? The reason is cause my relieving mgr never came in and the gm said I had no choice but to work a whole other shift because she had been drinking... what should I do? If anything?

Can someone work for 16 hours every day?

This is possible for limited periods, but it will take its toll. There are many studies that show that working long hours increases your chance of heart disease 40 to 80 percent.Long Working Hours and Coronary Heart Disease: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (American Journal of Epidemiology, 2012).Besides, the quality and efficiency of your work will probably degrade.A few years ago I had a job on a deadline that forced me to work about 70 hours a week for six months. I found at that number of hours, I made more mistakes, and had to re-do some work the following day. If I tried to work any more, it would have diminishing returns. The bottom line is that it’s bad for you and bad for your employer if you work such long hours for extended periods.

Is it illegal for a company to take money from your account without permission?

Sean,

Unfortunately, it is legal for any company with direct access (which you have signed for) to your debit/checking/savings account... It even happens with employers who have access via direct deposit... Debit cards have fewer protections than credit cards and folks are now starting to learn that this "free" service (i.e.: electronic checking) comes with many pitfalls and dangers... Go over all your contracts that involve your debit card and you'll see buried in the fine print, their lawful right to access your account...

Good luck...! Interesting question...
