With a school this expensive, you’re bound to have some students that come from wealthy families.But even back then, we all knew it was just a joke. The student population is very diverse, and that includes economic backgrounds. The financial aid department will do all they can to make sure students that get accepted can find a way to attend.I am a great example. I come from the Midwest, from a lower-working class family. Between government grants, student loans, and the work-study program, half of my expenses were covered. The best I can tell, the university literally wrote off the other half.While I attended with plenty of rich kids, maybe one out of every four students I met would fit that description. From the other answers here, it seems as if the university works harder than ever to make sure academically deserving students can find a way to attend, regardless of their financial background.
