Is It Just Me Or Does Everyone In The Walking Dead Turn Into Douchebags After The 2nd Season

SPOILERS, OBVIOUSLYIt wasn't just the last moments that made it so disappointing, though they have become a point for critics of the episode to rally round. But the problem was the whole episode, which was drawn out and repetitious and frankly boring for long stretches. What should have been a tension-building 90 minutes was intermittently interrupted by Carol's tedious and unconvincing guilt-trip storyline, which didn't help. It was obvious what was going to happen in the main plot, and not in an exciting way; it was quite clear what was going on: all of the characters we can name found a way to come along on this mission, which was obviously doomed by the second roadblock. Rick, who until now has been very smart, was suddenly making very poor choices. The Saviors, who until the very end of the last episode have been laughably inept, were now super-ninjas who could somehow even predict which way the main cast would break from the path when it became apparent they were surrounded. So the audience knew what was going to happen from fifteen or so minutes into the episode - indeed anyone who has been paying attention could see this coming from several episodes back, even if they'd avoided spoilers and the comics, as I have. So when it finally came it had to be good. Really good. But it was tedious; obvious foreshadowing, Idiot Plotting and baggy writing in which tension just drained away. (This episode would probably have been much better at its usual length, and we may not have noticed how stupidly everyone was behaving or how badly written it was.)Then to cap it all: we all knew we'd meet Negan and he'd likely kill someone. All we didn't know was who. So if the only point of interest - a moment that's been coming from at least half a dozen episodes back - doesn't pay off, people are going to be angry. Fans felt poorly treated, rightly so in my opinion. A mediocre episode has become reviled. Some of us are wondering whether we should continue to put ourselves through this, with enormously frustrating clunky hours of television every third episode or so, for another season. Certainly none of the bad episodes of TWD had ever, to my recollection, been the season finales. Until now.

It’s likely a blend of both. Given that some humans are a lot smarter than others of their kind, it’s not too blasphemous to infer that “walkers” (zombies) are affected by the same condition. Perhaps your pre-death IQ has something to do with it. Perhaps some people decay quicker or slower than others. Maybe some people’s brains are slightly less damaged than others. I don’t know, but I’d be surprised if my theory were completely wrong, because this:…is clearly not an average “walker”; we, as you’ve said, haven’t seen this behavior before or since this incident. Maybe the guy had just turned, this zombie was just more intelligent, or it was just a fluke. All of that being said, you have to remember that season 1 of the show was directed not by Greg Nicotero, but Frank Darabont, a visionary and exceptionally skilled film director. It’s possible, likely even, that Frank thought of the same thing I did, wanted a few zombies to be more dangerous than others, an interesting concept. His ideas just didn’t carry over after AlMighty Cunts fired him, leaving this the only incident featuring a “smart” zombie.

The list is not in any particular order.End the Negan and Saviors War. Let them come together or stay apart.New villians that come and go, not play out for 2 years.Get rid of Gimple, he ruined the show.Make Walkers scary again, more dangerous, more a part of the story and plot.Stop knocking off beloved characters. If you can't feel for or connect with a character get rid of them and keep the favorites. Glenn, Abraham, Sasha, Carl, Morgan, Maggie and Rick. This may be game over. The characters are so disconnected from one another, so flat and emotionless, bring em back to what they once were, if that's even possible now.Make Carol the leader and Daryl 2nd in command.Make Alexandria, The Hilltop and The Kingdom one community. Introduce new communities to barter and trade. That could be done in 1 episode.Stop drawing things out. Why they ruined Carol's character for 2 seasons is beyond me. I don't feel connected to her anymore.Pay Andrew Lincoln off to stay with the show.

The Walking Dead vs DareDevil?

Daredevil without a doubt (The 2nd D isn't capitalized.) I watch The Walking Dead, and think it's a decent show, but it is extremely overrated in my opinion. People always claim it's the greatest show ever, when that is so far from the truth. It relies too much on action and gore to keep people interested, instead of focusing on plot and the characters. Sure, some episodes focus on a character's backstory or just something personal they're dealing with. But overall, I feel like it's just action scene after action scene, with no reason other than to have another action scene.

Daredevil, while it also has a good deal of action, and can get very brutal, still focuses a lot on the plot and the personal journeys each character takes. Such at Matt Murdock's inner struggle. How he wants to remain true to his beliefs, knowing that killing could turn him into what he hates. But also knowing that killing would save a lot of innocent lives. Or with Fisk, his inner struggle about not wanting to become like his father. He doesn't want to be a monster, but throughout Season 1, he does so much that he is wondering whether he is still the good guy or if he has already become a monster. (And at the end he finally accepts that he is indeed now the monster he feared he would become).

Like i said, TWD is decent, but it just doesn't have the depth that Daredevil has, at least not in my opinion. I see it as being a "surface enjoyment show." Where people tend to enjoy it just because of the obvious things they see on screen, not the deeper, more complex stuff. I actually think Fear the Walking Dead is superior to The Walking Dead, as it focused a lot more on the characters and showed how they are changing day to day as they learn to live with the new world. People complain that there wasn't much action, but I loved that. When there was action, it felt like it truly affected the characters and you could see the change it caused in the way they think. It wasn't just "Oh it's been 10 minutes. Let's have a random fight."

I would not watch S1 of FEAR THE WALKING DEAD first. For one, it is only six episodes. Wait until S2 airs.  TWD's first season also had only six episodes, and if you watch S1, the last episode provides a bit of information about when the virus started and how dire the world has become. You might then watch FTWD, it takes place in the early days of the virus, which evidently has stricken several states even before Rick gets shot and goes into a coma from which he awakens during the first episode. FTWD gives some insight into what we already know from TWD, the general incompetence of the military, and the slow trickle of walker sightings. I've given thought as to if the first walkers had weak immune systems, like a junkie or a homeless person, and eventually the "flu" pretty much weakened everybody's immune system. Perhaps we will see more of this in FTWD S2, but you can see that the amount of walkers isn't growing outrageously high on a daily basis. If S2 jumps forward a bit in time, as TWD did between the 2nd and 3rd season, the way the US has been affected by the virus might be better explained. If you are able to watch TWD on Netflix or AMC - Something More, as Susan and Wendy both said, watch them in order, but I would say from season 2 on up to 6. Watch both S1s for FTWD and TWD if for no other reason than you are pretty much watching a single season of any of the regular 14 episode seasons. So. TWD S1, FTWD S1, TWD 2-6 or whatever you feel comfortable with before watching FTWD S2. If you decide not to binge watch, there is a site for The Walking Dead Timeline and it also provides a link for  the FTWD timeline. Right now, TWD is at 580 days since The Turn (as most people seemed to call it before TWD began, so I'm assuming scientists and such).  But I think those 580 days comprise the events of TWD S1-6. There are plenty of notes at the end of the timeline to show references to "real time", and you might get an idea as to how much time really separates FTWD from TWD. And there is no doubt we will likely see characters or characters referenced  from TWD on news broadcasts in LA as the situation worsens on FTWD. That's why I think getting into that first season of FTWD is important. It is a bit slow moving at times, you can easily FF through some scenes, and then refer to the timeline if you missed something.

2nd season of darker than black ending?

Okay. so. I'm confused, but I've got a theory after watching episode 12 and thinking about it for two days, because i just feel i need to know what happened.

I'm going to go with the whole yin gave hei his abilities back, and the reason he didn't die when she took them originally is because it isn't hei, but bai that is the contractor. So, in essence, Yin gave Hei his sister back, which might be why he didn't let suo kill Yin earlier ( or not, i'm really not concerned about the reasoning on that one) and allowed him to kill her with them. suo lost her powers, got sent with july to the copied planet. The major question is, who the hell is the dude in the coffin at the end? It's Yin! just a copied version on suo's planet, the reason it's a boy is because shion's power is a little retarded and doesn't copy everything perfectly. It is at this point I'd like to say, I really hope that Shion copied Hei too, even if he did turn into a girl in the process, otherwise that planet would be. *ahem* screwed.

What do you think about that logic? Is it a plausible ending or not?

Why do so many people hate Carl Grimes from The Walking Dead??

He's always doing dumb stuff and never listens to his parents or any adult.

Look at how he talked to Carol after they found Sophia.
Messed with the Walker and got Dale killed
Begged to go hunting with his dad and got shot
Almost got himself and Michonne killed for a picture.
Killed a kid without remorse, just because he didn't drop his gun fast enough
The way he talked to his dad after he brought some Woodbury residence back to the prison.

He has no respect for his father or any adult because he thinks he's a man and not a child.
