Is It Just Me Or Is My Dog Being Weird Or

My dog is acting weird?

My dog is acting really weird. He is a pit mix and usually playful and happy but since Sunday he has had his ears pinned back all the time and his tail barely wags. He seems really tired and very thirsty. he is on doggy prozac for stress because he seems to get agitated easily. I have a vet appointment today but I am not sure how to explain to the vet that something is really wrong without him thinking i am a crazy paranoid dog owner.

he has never showed aggression but Sunday we were playing and he bit me, didn't break skin but he clamped down pretty hard on my hand. I need suggestions on how to explain to the vet that something is seriously wrong without him thinking I am nuts. Has anyone else experienced this with their pets? all of a sudden have a mood change and shown aggression for no reason?

Why is my dog acting weird?

My dog acting really weird tonight. I took her out for a bathroom break and she ran out into the field to her usual spot - she looked like she was takinga long time to poop/ something didnt look right - so i called her a few times to get her to come back over. she came back to about 2ms away from me and stopped with her tail between her knees and wouldtn come over to me. she kept looking off in other directions. the two barn cats were outside with us , and they never seemed faze by anything suggesting that there probably wasnt another animal around. she wouldnt come in the house and wouldnt listen to me and kept her tail between her legs with a worried look. i finally go her to come in. usually my dog is wherever we are in the house . so 30 mins later when i turn off my light for bed i realized she wasnt around. i went downstairs and i found her out by the front door. she still was apprehensive about following me . she also would sorta keep her head down. when i took her upstairs and put her on her bed - she kept midly wavering/shaking and not really responding normally to my speaking. wheni put her in her bed, i was sitting down whilst doing so. and everytime i put her in bed she would crawl back over to sit in my lap. once in my lap she would stare off into space again like something had spooked her/was grabbing her attnetion. ive had my dog 10 years now, and this is by far the weirdest behavior i have seen from her. usually i can tell when she is sick or scared, being playful, thristy etc. But she really has me scared as to what is wrong with her. I've never taken a dogs temp before, so i dont know if she has a fever or not. she wouldtn sleep on her bed so she fell asleep in my lap, and has a bit of a warmer body than usual. its 2am and i live a while away from a vet so im not really sure what to do. she seems like she is preoccupided. like i said she sorta stares off into space. Anbody know what might be wrong with her from what i've described? I will take her to the vet tomorrow morning, but im worried/wondering how i can comfort her in the meantime :(. If anybody has some helpful suggestions, i would certianly appreciate it. is it possible she ate soemting bad outside? shes not vommiting and doestn have diarrhea. So i dont know whats wrong with her :(

My dog is acting weird around me?

Well, I have dogs that have been around for a long time also. This has happened to my dad before. I looked it up on the internet and read an article that says dogs can notice very deadly diseases and it's true. He had a mole on his leg and the dog kept picking at it trying to bite it off. When we went to the doctor he removed it and found skin cancer. Since you have been sick you should go to the doctor and show him the places your dog has been licking or bothering.
HOPE I HELPED!

My dog is suddenly scared and acting weird?

Hi there. I need some help. My dog has had 2 episodes where he is totally wigging out and really scared...which is so unlike him. Buster is a beagle mix (or at least we think he is) and he will be 8 yrs old in a few months.

His first episode started last Wednesday. He came in from outside and suddenly jumped on the couch. He knows not to jump up there without permission. When we told him to move to his "designated" spot on the couch, he didn't do it immediately. I sat next to him and he kept wanting to practically sit on top of me. Then he kept looking around like he sees something and he would keep smelling in the area towards his hinny. And he would follow me wherever I went. We went to bed and he never sleeps with us but I thought since he was so scared, I would have him lay with me but he kept trying to lay on top of me and kept smelling. Finally he went to sleep on his bed and was "normal" again. The most recent episode occurred just a few hours ago. He was outside briefly then he came back in and did the same thing as before, jump on the couch and when he was told to move, he wouldn't. This time he was shaking for several minutes and wanted to be by my side like a magnet. I then went to take a shower and he laid on the bath mat...then a few minutes later, he laid on the bath mat in front of the shower then after I got out, I found him hiding in the closet under my clothes....this is truly odd behavior which he has never done before especially since he doesn't like to be wet or be near a shower.

I dont know what's wrong with him...if something spooked him or if he's going senile. Has anyone experienced this before? Please help.

Is it weird that my cat follows me?

Nope. It is a sign of affection, means your cat likes you. Of course, if it only follows you around right before its mealtimes, well, it may not be a sign of affection, it may just be a sign of hunger. When I was a teenager, we adopted a stray cat who became an indoor/outdoor cat. When I would take the dog for a walk, he would insist on shadowing us. He never did it when other members of my family were walking the dog, just me. I think he realized I was the one who'd taken trouble to feed him and coax him out of his fear of humans. So I needed to be watched over when I walked the dog. It was adorable, but sometimes very inconvenient. I couldn't take the dog for a long walk unless I had shut Liebchen in my bedroom first, because he would insist on following us, going across the street with us, etc. I didn't want him to get lost or hit by a car!Liebchen died many years ago. About two years ago, my apartment was burgled when I was at work (a robber smashed the sliding glass door in my living room with a crowbar or tire iron, according to the police, then grabbed my laptop off my desk and skedaddled). My current cat, Savannah, was terrified. She spent the next three days following me around all the time that I was home. I couldn't even go to the bathroom without her meowing frantically and poking a paw underneath the door. But after three days, she was suddenly fine again. If something traumatic happened to your cat recently, it could be following you around for reassurance. It will pass.

Do female dogs act weird when they’re in heat?

When a bitch is in heat, and she is in the fertile stage of the heat, she will do ANYTHING to get to a male. She will dig under a fence, climb over it, chew through a wall, because that is how strong her hormones are at that time. When your bitch comes in, she will be moody, snappy, nervous. As her fertile days approach, she will want out more, and will tease any dog that she comes in contact with. It is Very Important you keep her on a leash to go out until she is done with her cycle. She is most fertile at the END of her cycle- Just when you think she is done, because she isn’t bleeding! Keep bitches britches on her, and keep her in a crate unless she is supervised at all times. They are very sneaky, and can be out the door and tied before you know she is gone.
