Drinking in public is not illegal in the UK. However, in London their are some exceptions; this includes all the art galleries and museums. Also included is the London Underground, where Mayor of London Boris Johnson recently banned drinking on the Tube. You can drink in public without any problems, this includes parks. Just don't get too hammered, as the police don't take kindly to drunks.

Like you would if you drank alcohol, you can even just drink zero alcohol beer to fit in. You can still go to the same places, the same events. All Saturday. On the circle line, which was still a circle back then instead of a spiral. On all the trains (not necessarily all cars in each train). This video is typical, but the news programs the next day were very negatively biased in their reporting.
