Is it normal to feel lazy while having your period?

Definitely....
The mood swings cause you to feel tired an lazy as well...
it's normal....

(but it sucks!)

Is it normal to feel tired before your period?

It is definitely normal. Your body is doing a lot of work to prepare to rid yourself of your uterine lining. Your muscles are working really hard, so it's normal that you are tired. Plus, your hormones are probably out of whack due to your period. Don't worry, just relax and try to stop stressing. This will help you and your body during your period pains. :) good luck!

Is it normal to feel ugly when your on your period?

I feel tired, dirty, and smelly, and ugly during my period. My skin breaks out from the hormones; I can't seem to get my make-up right or my hair right (my hair develops and extra oiliness to it, I guess from all the hormones) ; I look and feel exhausted no matter how much sleep I get....I do not look forward to it. I HATE going anywhere during this time, and all I can think about all day long is getting home and getting into a hot shower to get clean and to help with the pain.

Is it normal to feel tired before getting your period?

Can be, Fatigue is a typical PMS symptom. I sleep really deep right before my cycle and dream really vividly. Go figure. You can also get headaches, as you said, fluid retention, irritability, swollen glands, night sweats-no wait, that's menopause. Wait til your 40's. Best of both worlds, sigh!
Anyway pick up a box of those menstrual relief products at your local drugstore and read what it says it relieves. That will give you a pretty good list of PMS symptoms.

Is it normal to feel emotional days after having your period?

Yep, you need to learn the ovulation cycle. After the 14 days, you ovulate and that is when you can get pregnant, but sometimes the ovulation comes 2 days earlier at day 12, but get this. The sperm stays in the woman body 2 days, which makes the risk of pregnancy at day 10 after your period. Also, the ovulation sometimes is 2 days late, which makes the risk of pregnancy at day 16 after your last period—add 2 days the sperm stays in, and we are talking about day 18 there is a risk of getting pregnant. The golden rule: Have sex a week after your period, and a week before your period. All the other days use protection.I use this app to track on a calendar when my wife is going to be ovulating and get emotional (it’s available for Android, too)Clue - Period & Health Tracker on the App StoreYOUR QUESTION: Yes on the time you ovulate you get emotional. Some women get emotional 10 days before their period, and others a week before, others get emotional from the day the ovulate —about the 14th day —and the hormones just stay there till the end of your period. In other occasions, you hormones still lingering 4 days after the first day of your period.WHAT TO DO?Take .2 ml a day of clonazepam (Klonopin) if you feel you have ANGER or ANXIETY PMS. There is no way to control your temper without meds. or you can try drinking (but only if is too bad). Another option you can take is to stay away from any stressful situation and people, so you don’t end up breaking up with your boyfriend or husband. If you do not get anger but sadness and depression, then take a red bull to pull you up, and again, stay away from initiating a drama that you will regret later. My wife gets so emotional she wants to break up sometimes every month. LOL. When it passes she feels like she was possed. — And no, she does not have mental problems, so don’t let anyone call you crazy. It is all hormonal.Good luck!

Is it normal to feel dizzy & sleepy during period?

This is me regularly when it's my monthly's!! I'm 33.
I found it was worse when I was ill, emotional, run down or just stressed.
I've found a few things have helped. The first thing I did was to have that day in bed!! Let yourself just enter the slumber to give your body a boost. A hot water bottle for pains & cramps works pretty well too.
Look at your caffeine in-take as I've found too much makes you worse!! Then I made sure I had my 3 meals a day. I never realised how much difference it made.
I'd find things to occupy my time. I started helping out a friend, I go swimming. I have a daughter & I make slots of time for her to do active outdoors stuff just so temptation of sleeping wasn't any easier. It all did help all the time I could stay active & stay away from my bed.
At the beginning it may be worth taking a tonic (over the counter) Effico was what I use. See your pharmacist as they are so helpful.
On really bad days when I got it & had things that i had to do, I found Pro plus tablets helped. I wouldn't take them all the time though just when it's at it's worse! Caffeine I know, though the coffee, tea & chocolate can take it's toll on your mood, energy levels & i found made me feel low & depressed.
Need to have Iron if dizzy/passing out.
I heard for cramp you need potassium & zinc, though I've yet to check this out properly.
I went more drastic than this as hormones can also have a part to play in all of this just to throw us more off balance!!
I wasn't wanting to get pregnant & went on the pill & this helped alot, though I don't want any more children so I ended up having the 5 year coil fitted & it's eased it all the heavy periods & the pains & cramps sooo much more. I still have the sleepiness & emotional though a big change in it compared to what it was like.
Hope this helps
