Is It Ok To Stand On Grocery Store Shelves

Best grocery store coffee?

Not to insult anyone, but there is no such thing as a good pre-ground coffee. You need a grinder to grind the beans immediately before brewing. And the beans need to be fresh!!! Charbucks keeps theirs for weeks, if not more. At most stores you can buy Peets or another good brand of whole beans.

Any tips on shelving/stocking chips in grocery stores, supermarkets?

I'm about to be a distributor for a chip company. Are there any secret tips/techniques out there to stock my shelves?Bag Colors left to right? Chip type? Best selling chips locations on shelves . Make my bag look more presentable? For instance, if my chips are bordered by other chip companies.. Should I choose opposite colors for the border from my competitor so my chips stand out more ? What do customers look for in shelving if they don't know what they want ?Thanks in advance , much appreciated.

Tips for stocking shelves at a grocery store?

Basically I'm starting a night shift job at the local grocery store tonight and I don't know if I'll be fast enough because I'm a pretty laid back person. Can anyone help me out with some easy to follow tips please? Things that will help me stock the shelves faster, I already know how to use both hands at once though.

Organic apples always moldy in the grocery store?

Not every organic fruits means they good . When they expensive, they will try sell expired organic fruits even thru they know it going make someone sick but they ain't gotta be responsible 4 it. You buy it, then you are responsible. Organic can be good if they don't have mold on it.

Organic only means no arfication color or pesticide anything like that in chemically (internal). Unless it is dropped on floor or something happen to it's outter.

You have to be careful and look at outter too! You were only concerning abt internal that has no pesticides, probably you thought it would not have mold or something. It was only internal that has pesticide , it DOES NOT stop MOLD unless there a chemical.

Why do grocery stores spray water on their vegetables ?

They spray their vegetables with water to keep them fresh, because of osmosis effects. This will make the vegetables take in water and become fresher. The chlorophyll uses water, co2, and light to create o2, and glucose to make food and vegetables stay healthy, ripe, and plump. They also spray water on thier vegetables so they would last longer on the shelves and have more life. The produce stands out to people in the grocery store so that they can buy the produce.

Is fruit from roadside fruit stands any different from that at a grocery store?

That depends upon whether you are thinking positively or negatively. If you basing the question where the Road side shop is in a place where the fruits are grown/produced, most probably you can expect the fruits to be fresh etc. But in practice the reality is different.Anything that is produced in big bulk have a very good selection/sorting,size and quality control. So local shops buy the rejects (due to many reasons)from the farms, and try to sell them in retail stall and vehicles by shifting the produce to some populated locations. If the stall keeper produces really great produce, he will have a good shop and why he should sell on road side? The so called Farmers Markets in cities are just procuring from big grocery stores in Bulk, remove the stickers and sell them as their own farm product.I have seen hundreds of peeled stickers from Melons etc near the Farmers Markets! The story of roadside shops in some countries where the farmers are just villagers and have very small land to cultivate, and who scrounge a few numbers of a few types of fruits daily, may keep them on road side stalls/shacks and sell them to other residents or tourist etc. If there are big farms, there will be no buyers except those people passing through the farms, and not locals! They are the real farmers’ markets. Their products will never be having any standards or uniformity!!!The presumption that the produce sold in the Malls/large city shops is TREATED need not be always right, and presuming that whatever is offered by Farmers in the city temporary markets are pure, is also not right. At least the Malls have a name and good will to protect, which may not be the case for roadside vendors! They have no address even to complain!I have no personal grudge against the farmers nor their selling technique.Nor I support what ever is done by large Grocery stores to extend shelf life. The buyer / consumer should actually see what he buys and do not depend upon”who sells”. It is not any Factory product!!

Why is the American grocery store bread so bad? The bread in the grocery stores of the other countries is better.

I think the person who asked this question is either shopping in the wrong grocery stores or buying the wrong kind of bread. It’s true that there’s a lot of bad bread in supermarkets, but most of them have better bread as well. Many supermarkets these days have their own bakeries and turn out multi grain loaves, decent sourdough, baguettes and rolls, all to bakery standards. If you go for the lowest common denominator plastic bag white sandwich loaf, it’s going to be bad. It’s designed to be bad. If you look around, you’ll probably find some decent bread on the shelves as well.Bad bread isn’t limited to American stores either. I’ve seen some pretty depressing examples in Canada and on the shelves of grocery stores in London, last time I was there. Chorleywood process? Hah!

What does D.N.I. stand for?

Those signs are all over my local Wal Mart. They stand for "Do Not Inventory."

Why do grocery stores often place mirrors facing down above the fruits and vegetables?

Definitely helps in making the fruits look to be in plenty. Being a perishable item, selling them off quickly is important to reduce losses incurred on unsold/rotten/damaged ones. By making the fruits appear to be in plenty, it encourages a consumer to pick up more than a handful of fruits. The mirror also reflects light to the other side of the fruits, thus removing the shadow and enhancing the appearance of the fruit.
