Is It Okay To Drink A Ton Of Soda To Stay Up Late To Finish Some Hw Then Drink A Preworkout In The

Is it bad to have coffee and pre-workout in the same day?

I use the Cellucor C4 extreme pre-workout supp on days when I want to push hard. A single scoop of this stuff is about 160mg of caffeine. You only get about 95mg caffeine from a cup of coffee. I use 2 scoops because I'm a regular coffee drinker, 2 - 3 cups a day, and hence have a relatively good tolerance to caffeine. Now imagine taking the pre-workout supp and coffee back to back, if this is what your question is about. That's enough caffeine to give you the jitters. Imagine doing this 3 - 4 hours before bedtime if you workout in the evening. You will most likely have trouble sleeping.Use pre-workout supps with caution. Assess your caffeine tolerance level if you're going to consume coffee on the side. While it's not bad in itself you don't want to get caught up in a sleep deprivation cycle and use coffee and pre-workout supps to keep you going. This will indeed not end well because it will mess up your hormonal balance i.e. leptin, ghrelin and cortisol levels. If you really must, I've found that a shot of coffee (long black/espresso, not the diluted stuff) is enough to "wake you up" before a workout.

Is drinking a glass of orange juice after my workout good, bad or nothing?

Just curious after I workout for an hour, half cardio and half weightlifting, I go home and make a glass of cold orange juice.

I just did this on whim awhile back but every time I drink it I feel great. Like you know how you are a bit worn down after a good workout at the end of the day but for me the orange juice just revitalizes me.

Though I am curious if this will hurt my ability to lose weight (currently 240 and want to lose the 40).

Is it safe to take a pre-workout supplement every day, and what are their associated health risks?

Being a fitness enthusiast for over 3 years now and being practically tried most of the supplements myself,  I think I am best suitable to assist you on this. Pre workouts are mainly aimed to give you a kick while working out to help you push those few extra reps with heavy weights and basically it makes you jumpy and highly focused. Period.  Due to the presence of the ingredients like caffeine, ephedrine,  arginine e.t.c it helps you even in loosing fat as well while minimising or nullifying the muscle mass loss during the process ( considering you are  consuming a suitable diet plan rich in proteins - tailored according to your need). So basically it can assist you in many ways - be it heavy weight training or cardio. Now coming to the drawbacks of pre workouts:-As it is a stimulant so.you can get addicted to it over prolonged continued use.      Remedy for that      Cycle the supplement for 1-2 Months which means that           discontinue the supplementation for a period of 2-4 weeks after a prolonged usage of it for two reasons One being the body get used to it and won't respond to the same way it used to before, after getting immune to it.Second is that many theories suggest to cycle most of the performance supplements as above for the same reason as above. Whenever you stop using the pre workout you will feel like being hit by a bus if while lifting the same weights with the same intensity/volume as before. But you need not to worry about this as you will overcome this barrier within a maximum of one month of contined training. Faulty consumption time specially within 3-4 hours of your sleep time might interfere with your sleep pattern  due to the presence of ephederine in it and to make up for that again you have to take an another supplement-ZMA for better sleep. So final word - if you really want to crush some heavy ass weights in the gym but couldn't do it due to sluggishness then you can go for the pre workouts to give you the kicks during the workout, just remember to cycle the supplement along with it's proper usage.HAPPY LIFTING :)

Is it advisable to drink a Red Bull or caffeinated drink before an exam? Will it make your brain awesome and get you better grades?

First time I drank red bull my brain CANNOT turn off, and i drank only ONE gulp that time! I was staying up for a brief study and didn’t expect that One gulp could keep me up until the next day.I realize i need booster in school for not having slept at all the previous night so i drank some more. Yes, redbull keeps your brain awake and helps you think despite exhaustion but really, there’s something foggy in my eyes and i feel dead.Different people can have different experience when drinking redbull for the first time.I started drinking redbull again nights before my mid-year assessment and it does keep one awake especially when you’re marathoning a LOT of last-minute subjects. I do notice how my brain tend to think about so many other things WHILE studying, as if my brain is over-activated, and it can be quiet a distraction.I don’t deny the use of redbull. I gained a lot of advantage from it like extra hours of studies and etc. Be reminded though that do that ONLY when it is VERY needed. My classmates had a months worth of headstart in exam preparation because I spent my time training for various fitness-related activities while they’re studying, had only 7 days left after all my physically demanding activities to prepare for mental tests, shiz. Also, the body might get adapted to the redbull that the next time you drink it, the effect wont be as strong anymore. It is NOT ADVISABLE to drink it on a regular basis!Logically I’d think of redbull as something that keeps your brain from shutting down. Redbull does not give you extra ability to think creative or miraculously help you solve math problems. It does not help you memorize or understand things easier. “It only prevent your brain from shutting down” so use it when you need to stay refreshed and awake in an exam and not rely on it to ace papers in flying colours.

I just had probably more than 10,000 calories today..? Help?

Okay. Sweetheart. Just calm down.
Don't listen to the guy below. You don't need help. Just listen to me. Feel free to email me and I'll help you every step of the way through it.
I'm 14 years old, bulimic/anorexic. I Am NOT going to suggest taking on one of these horrible diseases because you shouldn't. What you should do though Is follow these tips:
-First off reading what you ate made me cringe. Sweetly food isn't life. I'm perfectly happy without it. You need to eat less. Now you said you normally eat 4000-5000, what you ate is roughly 13000-15000. Take it from me I know the calorie consumption of everything. Now since your norm is 4000-5000, of suggest trying to aim for 3500-4000. Go slow. Otherwise you'll feel the need and crave for food and you'll break and just eat everything.
I'd like you to TRY as HARD as you can every single day!
-Exercise. This is essential. I'd like you to do at LEAST 30 minutes of exercise every day. The normal is 60, but for you we should take it slow to get your body adjusted.
-Chew gum. This will prevent you from wanting food in your mouth. Eat as much as you want because it's low calories! Eat five packs!
-Eat ice. It tricks your body into thinking you're eating.
-Drink a cup or two of water before you eat. You'll be less hungry. Also I'd suggest taking smaller bites, eating slower, and making small portions.
-Try and throw vegetables and fruit in. I've been a vegetarian since I was born and believe me it helps.
-Find a hobby to distract yourself from eating.
-Don't eat because you're bored, only when you're hungry.
These are a few tips right off my head. I'm very so proud of you for wanting to change!
I'm here anytime if you'd like advice or to talk. Its hard, but trust me. You'll get through it. Thinner than ever.

If you were to drink caffeine and taking sleeping pills, would they cancel each other out?

Many people with sleep problems, chronic distress, and low energy end up taking stimulants in the morning and then canceling these out with sedatives and sleep aids at night. Theoretically, this can work, depending on what exactly you're taking and the duration of this regimen. Caffeine is an adenosine antagonist, so it briefly promotes wakefulness by blocking this sleep-promoting peptide in your brain. But it also causes the release of stress hormones, some of which are fairly long lasting (such as cortisol). Common pseudo/sedatives like benadryl, zolpidem, clonazepam, and risperidone work via different mechanisms that may or may not exactly oppose caffeine effects. In any case, sedatives and tranquilizers don't actually promote normal sleep, so these drugs aren't a good long term solution for the vast majority of people. Depending on what you're taking, you'll probably be just fine if your treatment is under medical supervision.Clearly, this is far from an ideal solution, for a variety of reasons touched on by other commentators. It really pays to commit to your own health and wellbeing. I hope you find the answer and relief you are seeking.
