Why do you feel that wild animals will hurt you? If you respect them and leave them alone, will they hurt you?
I just asked a question about living in the wilderness with nature and I stated that animals wont' hurt you. Many people disagree and I appreciate their comments becuase the comments are good and they did answer my question. Like Ross said, I respect the animals and I don't bother the animals and they don't bother me. If the animals do attack, you can bet there is a human to blame for one reason or the other. I also agree with BibleBelt. What I should have said is that animals won't hurt you unless they have a good reason which is in reaction to something that a human has caused. For every action there is an equal opposite reaction, remember! And to the person that thinks I'm hurting, its sweet of you but I'm not hurting, I just love nature. All the hurt or sick animals in the community come to my house because I help them which is usually calling the vet. My home is surrounded by woods and I have visits from all sorts of wild animals.

If his sexuality isn't an issue, why do you even have to bring it up? Your gay colleague, the gay VP, the young gay guys, your gay friends. If it wasn't an issue, you didn't even have to bring it up once, not to mention 5 times. Nothing says "I have an issue with gays" like telling us how many gay friends you have.You could have just asked, "how does one sensitively ask that a colleague stop touching them."The truth is you don't really have to be that sensitive, it's probably better not to be. If the person goes to give you a hug and you don't want one, put on hand on their chest and gently stop them. If they go to run their hand on your hair, shoulder, or neck, gently push it away. You've already said the important words here, you need to repeat them to your coworker. "I'm not a fan of intimate contact with strangers and this behavior is inappropriate in a work environment."Simple, direct, to the point. No ambiguity, no hostility, no threat, no questions necessary. You aren't asking, you're telling.That will be the end of it.
I didn't get selected for captain. I'm deeply hurt right now. Help?
Was a coach the one who selected the captains? If so, try talking to her/him. Tell her/him all your feelings, maybe there can be a way you can be captain too? I'm not sure how your school system works, but why not give it a shot? If it was your peers who voted/chose the captains, try talking to the ones on your team that you are closest with, if you are too shy (like me) to confront the bossy ones. Don't sound like a goody-goody (I know high school girls are prissy) but don't leave your emotions like this. I've been through what you've been through, girl. I know you feel rejected and left out. But if talking doesn't work, just think of the positive instead of the negative. Maybe you won't have much stress on you as you would if you were the captain. You're not expected to get everything right, and if you screw up in a dance, nobody will get too mad at you because you're not the one responsible for being captain. You won't have to take on too many responsibilites! There are so many positive things, it's hard to count! The point is, we're all going to get rejected in life. Girl, we've all been there.
