Can you find a lost phone if the sim card is removed and if it's been factory reseted?

If a phone (one that uses a SIM - so a GSM or LTE phone) has been reported as lost or stolen to the carrier/operator you had service on, they can enter the International Mobile Equipment Identifier (IMEI) of that phone into an Equipment Identity Register (EIR) system - both locally in their own systems and into global inter-carrier EIR systems. What then happens is that if the phone is used to register on a cellular network - no matter if it has been factory reset, or a new SIM is used - that phone is denied service and the carrier is notified of the attempt. This is not a perfect solution because:it does not necessarily give you a location till the carrier looks for it (if they can)some carriers do not use global EIR systems (either to report or to check against)some carriers do not follow through with reporting to the owner of that lost phone.some stolen phones are shipped outside the country where they were stolen to avoid the EIR check by carriers in that other country. But, it is better than doing nothing.

Will an iPhone SIM card work in an Android phone?

Absolutely. As long as its the right size. If your Android device uses nano-SIM, then the SIM cards in the iPhone 5 and later will work. If it uses micro-SIM, the SIM cards in the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s will work. If it uses the old-fashioned mini-SIM (or "full-size" SIM), the SIM cards in the iPhone 3GS and earlier will work. All the SIMs will work in any Android phone with any SIM card slot, its just a matter of cutting your SIM or enlarging it using an adapter if it is not the right size for your Android phone. For example: if your Android phone uses micro-SIM, and you have an iPhone 6s, which uses nano-SIM, you will need to get a nano-to-micro SIM adapter (very inexpensive; try Amazon if you don't have one) to pop the nano-SIM into the adapter so it will fit in the larger micro-SIM slot. Conversely, for example, if you have an Android phone that uses nano-SIM, and an iPhone 4s that uses micro-SIM, you will need to cut it from the larger size to the smaller size so it can fit in the smaller slot for SIMs. Or get another SIM. This kind of situation usually doesn't happen; iPhones tend to have smaller (and newer-type) SIM card sizes than Android phones. More than likely, it will either fit fine (from nano-SIM to nano-SIM, for example), or it will need an adapter (from nano-SIM to micro-SIM) so it can fit in the Android phone. Sorry for the longer-than-expected answer on a seemingly simple question!

I just put my old SIM card in my new iPhone and it works fine, but AT&T is telling me that I need to use the new one that came with the new iPhone, why?

I believe that your IPhone 5 works well on 3 G networks and your new IPhone 6 works best on 4 G networks. So the old SIM card may work fine in the new phone but is unable to communicate or detect WiFi or to activate Bluetooth .Do you use these functions or services? WiFi is very useful to you when you need to access the internet. Some places provide free access to the internet, mainly in Malls, or food and beverage providers. The new SIM card that came with the new phone, has been configured, such that you will be able to utilize the full functions of your phone. Your phone number is attached to your new phone through the New SIM card. You can Google IPhone 6 for details of the phone. So, do worry about charges or the government spying on you, unless you are a Person of Interest, being seek by the CIA, FBI, NSA or the Homeland Security.Phone charges were agreed by yourself when you sign up or when you bought the IPhone 6.That being said, charges incurred by your usage of your IPhone for downloading of data or making Long Distance calls are chargeable by the Service provider or phone companies.Hope the above explanation has been useful to you.

Can you change the number on a prepaid phone with US Cellular?

I'm getting a phone from a friend at the end of the month when she's done with it. The phone is a prepaid android through US Cellular. I'm wanting to use it instead of the phone i got since it will get better service, and US Cellular is cheaper. Can I change the number to a new number other than the one she has? Also does anyone have prepaid with US Cellular? Can they tell me if it's any good or better than T-Mobile? US Cellular is the only service provider in my area with good coverage. Thanks Alot!

My phone screen cracked? What to do?

So I was walking from my grandmothers house home just now. I didn't have a bag with me, I wasn't wearing pants that had pockets, so I was holding my phone in my hand. And my phone type which is a Asus ZenFone (android) has literally no phonecases that i can find in stores. So my phone dropped without a phone case on the cement/concrete floor. And got a sceen cracked. The only very bad part is on the top left side of my phone, where it literally looks like a spiderweb. Is there anyway i can fix it without replacing my phone? I'm 13 so I'm still living with my parents, and they will kill me if they saw the screen crack. And overall, will the screen crack affect my phone in anyway badly? It's still working fine, the same as before my phone dropped. But will the small cracked pieces fall off or something? And how can I protect my phone if I can't find any phonecases for it in stores? Thanks.
