Is It Possible For My Employer To Force To Me To Voluntarily Resign A Month Earlier Than My

CT Unemployment Question RE: Eligibility?

Ok, so I'm totally going nuts trying to get straight answers about unemployment. I work in a position where there is a one-year working test period, and it is up in about a month. My employer has notified me that I will not be employed beyond this period, due to the fact that they just don't think I'm a good fit for the agency. (no willful misconduct) They have offered me an opportunity to resign rather than have the working test period failed, just so I can still say I've never been terminated.

CT law states that you can be denied benefits if you're fired for willful misconduct or if you quit without just cause attributable to the employer.

I tried calling DOL, and he just kept repeating "either way, you'll need to attend a hearing." "The only way you won't have to attend a hearing is if you're laid off." I get it... I wanna know, if the employer tells me I won't have a job in a month, is that just cause to quit, or will I likely lose my case?

I want to get my three month old daughters ears pierced, will emla cream help take away the pain?

I'm all for piercing ears whenever you want (you're the parent), but please take her to the pediatrician to have it done. I wouldn't trust a 16 year old with a gun at Claires. The pedi will do it with a sterile needle, the way it should be done. A gun on young ears will destroy the cartilage. If your pediatrician doesn't offer the service, call around to others in town.

Can a company deny the relieving letter if the employee has resigned and served the notice period as per the contract?

This will only happen in India and (1) When you have given a resignation letter you should make 2 copies and give one and get the acknowledgement on the another one. (2) They can -till they have shown certain way of teaching a lesson. Let's see the other ways.. 1. Do you have copy of your resignation letter? If not make one and of the same date and if you have sent it through the mail then there must be a acknowledgement from them you get that print out keep it with you. If not tomorrow morning you send  email ( very politely) that you have submitted your resignation on so and so date and you would like to know the status of it.  ( whether accepted or pending or not accepted etc) say only status.  And then start reminding them by phone or in person every alternative day. once you got the acknowledgement and reason for dealy etc take a print out and keep it with you.Now you write a nice polite letter to your HR Manager from where you got the offer. explaining the situations and attaching the resignation letter you sent to them 15 / 20 days back - and inform them ( never blame the present employer) that " I am afraid that the management is not happy about my resignation and may delay the approval of it.  As I have the salary certificate and resignation letter copy with me - will it be sufficient for you to accept me and issue me the appointment letter? If they say yes.. then you must be careful to write a letters informing the present co that : with reference to my letters where in I requested you to relieve me as early as possible and I till now even after 25 days neither I received any communication or information about the status of my resignation letter.  I would like to inform you I will not be attending the office from ( give a date) so I request you to make arrangements to relieve me by taking over the papers, and other files which I am presently handling now as soon as possible or designate some one so I can handover the things to him. Still if these people are playing tricks - Issue another letter after 3 days - making it as reminder - the plan is to create a record of sorts.. - like you resigned long back, on your own, you need to handover few things ( tomorow they should not give a police complaint about that some thing was lost etc) and the HR managers should know that you are creating a record. Still these people are adamant - then you need to consult a lawyer.

How to write a letter of resignation under duress?

Dear (name of boss/manager/supervisor),

This is to inform you that effective two weeks from the date of this letter, I resign my position from (company name).

I have enjoyed my time with the company and I would like to thank you for the opportunity to learn and develop my skills.

Sincerely,
(Your name)

That's the letter I used when I quit my job two months ago.

Should I give a resignation letter if the company has asked me to leave?

It would be ill-advised to send them a resignation letter as that may absolve them from any possible legal action that you might wish to bring against them and it could be used to prevent you from seeking unemployment when you leave. I would strongly suggest that you discuss this matter with an attorney before you take any action going forward.Myself, if I were in this situation, I would consider this to be a termination, I would not provide any letter and I would apply for unemployment as soon as possible. If you don’t have enough credit in the system to get unemployment (most states require at least three quarters of employment with one or more employers, meaning nine months, unless there were extraordinary circumstances) you may not be eligible; but at least you’ll have made the effort. In the future, I would also advise that you carefully listen to what you are told during your interview process. While this startup may be run by incompetent people, it’s probable that you were informed of your need to be flexible and that you were unwilling or unable to do so.
