Is It Possible I Can Become A Doctor .

Is it possible to become a doctor with bad grades?

"A lot" is two words (not "alot"). Learn this now, because you should have learned it in elementary school. No one wants a doctor who isn't committed to excellence, so start working on that now.

You're in luck, because medical schools don't look at your high school record at all. So you can start fresh in college.

If you feel shy about declaring yourself pre-med, you don't have to. Just say you haven't picked a major yet (which is true, because pre-med isn't a major). You will need to take a year each of biology, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry and physics, and you will need math, too.

Many colleges accept students with bad grades. If you need to, go to community college for a year or two and turn your grades around there.

Becoming a doctor with a Felony. Possible?

Wow im 27 and in the exact same boat except mine is a dui and i made money in real estate but thinking of becoming a doctor.
call someone in admissions and ask them

I'm 25, can I still become a doctor?

I'm 25 years old. I made mistakes in the past regarding school and pretty much everything else. Now I want to turn my life around and focus on myself and my future but I don't know if it's still possible for me to become a doctor.

To summarize the big events that happened in my life: I was 2nd in class when I graduated Middle School, I maintained a 3.5 or higher GPA when I graduated high school then met my "supposed" dream girl so when I got to college, I ended up going to a Community college. I took a half-assed "degree" and I didn't do very well, meaning I dropped every single one of my classes. My GPA is probably a 1.0 because I prioritized another person rather than myself. I'm on academics probation. Not only did I not get a proper education (No degree) but my credit is also ******** (having a gf is expensive and those loans I took out for school).

Now I know I made mistakes but I want to start over. This my plan: I applied at another Community College for the Licensed Practical Nursing Program, after that, I plan to take the bridge program to RN then possibly get my bachelors after that and then take the MCATs and classes I will need to go on to Med School.

Is it possible for me (with my age and even with my credit score being so low) to become a doctor especially with the situation I'm in? I'm looking at this very realistically and I would appreciate honest answers.

Thank you.

Is it possible for an autistic person to become a doctor?

Yes. It is possible for a person on the autism spectrum to become anything he wants to. Take Bill Gates, for example. He is on the autism spectrum and he was the CEO of Microsoft for many years. So yes, a person with autism can become a doctor, or a lawyer, or a soldier, etc. It’s less about aptitude and more about attitude. If a person on the spectrum really wants to become a computer programmer, for example, he will do everything in his power to accomplish that goal. People with autism can do anything with the right attitude towards what they want.

Is it possible to become a medical doctor and a Hollywood actor, and if so, how?

Many people switch careers because they are miserable in their current one. In some cases, though, people are happy in their current job but have an opportunity to do something they like even more. Such an opportunity came along for Ken Jeong, best known as Leslie Chow in the movie The Hangover and Ben Chang on the TV Series Community.You see, Jeong is a licensed physician. He didn’t quit the practice to pursue acting, either. While he was completing his residency he also worked on his stand up routine. Through his stand up comedy, doors were opened which ultimately led to some very big acting jobs and a new full-time career.As I said, Jeong can be seen on the show Community quite a bit, and there’s no mystery why: he’s hilarious! It would have been very easy for him to say “being a doctor takes up so much time, comedy and acting would just take up more of my time and who knows if anything would happen with it…” Instead he pursued it, even while – I can only assume – putting in crazy hours in his training and subsequent career as a Doctor.

Community College become a doctor? Possible?

Yes it is absolutely possible, as long as when you transfer to that university you do good (3.6+ at least), and you do good in the community college as well (3.8+ at least). Once you get into medical school, how you did in undergrad has nothing to do with what residencies you will match into, but orthopedic residencies are very competitive. And make sure that you split up your medical school pre-reqs right so that you do not get screwed out of pre-reqs.

What I recommend to people that are stuck in community colleges for 2 years is that you go ahead and take biology, and general chemistry as those are perceived as the easier classes out of the pre-reqs anyway. Wait until you are at a 4 year university to take organic chemistry, physics, and make sure you take a biochemistry course (medical school like to see that).

Basically your schedule should be like this:

Freshman year;
Biology 1 & 2

Sophomore year;
General Chemistry 1 & 2
Transfer to 4 year university after the school year

Junior Year;
Organic Chemistry 1 & 2
Physics 1 & 2
At least 2 upper division biology classes (to show that you can handle the coursework because you took other biology's at the CC)
Take MCAT (March/April) and apply to medical school in June

Senior Year;
Biochemistry

Can you still become a Doctor if you're poor?

Yes you can. Not all doctors are children of rich people.
Many doctors take loans to pay for their career and also many of them go into military service so the government can pay the career for them, later they need to pay back to the government (and they don't like that part). SOME of those doctors that study medicine paid by the military they have to serve to the military but you see them complaining. Not all of them but SOME of them.
And remember, you need to be accepted to go to medical school and compete with good grades with many students that want to be doctors. Just because you have credentials is not a guarantee that you are going to be accepted because medical schools only chose a few from many applicants.

Is it possible to become a doctor without having physics with the combination of chemistry and biology?

Nope...You have to study Physics as AIPMT which is an entrance examination for medical colleges includes 1/4 of its questions from physics.So without it you won't be able to crack the entrance exam.So my dear... Do try to solve MCQs and make your basics clear. It would help you to score better .Don't procrastinate physics problems...try to study it when your energy level is at peak so that u can understand and grasp better.

Can a nurse become a doctor?

Anyone who satisfies the academic and practical requirements can become a doctor.Although many nurses are now becoming nurse practitioners (the training is much shorter than to become a full-fledged doctor and they can do many of the same things), there are still a few nurses who pursue the M.D. degree. Nurses who go on to practice medicine bring a very unique skill set to their career as a physician.A brief story: Not that long ago, I was in the operating room for a C-section, which was being performed by an older OB/GYN who was a nurse when she began her career. The baby had been delivered, and it had a cyst on its nose and the mother was very concerned there was something wrong with it. While we were still operating, the mother was crying very badly. After the surgery was over and we had de-gowned, the OB doctor was consoling and talking to the sobbing mother and wiping the tears from her eyes with a tissue (the mother’s arms were still tied down while the surgical staff was finishing up).This is one of the most touching displays of spontaneous empathy that I’ve ever seen from a fellow physician in my entire career. Bedside manner is something that nurses are taught to be really good at. It’s a pillar of their field. While they say that we have to learn good bedside manner as doctors, it often gets brushed under the rug for all the academic and practical knowledge we have to cram in our brains. While we know we should have empathy (and often do in words), we are often bad at following it up in practice. It’s something I make a conscious effort to improve on every day.So yes, not only can nurses become doctors, but if they are capable and they are so inclined, they should become doctors. We need more doctors like the one I told you about.Dr. Paul

How do I Become a Doctor Early?

You are going to find medical school tough if you want to graduate so early. Emotional maturity, learning skills, stress management . Cramming something as complex as medicine into the shortest possible time is not a good way to become a physician. Many think it’s just like school or undergrad. You have no idae of the volume of detailed material you will have to learn and then integrate.Medicine is an art that uses science and it takes years to become a good artist in any field. You have to practice practice practice.,…get experience especially life experiences.Even if you get into medical school on the first application( which is not common) it’s hard at the age of 20 to deal with some of the life problems of your patients ,if you have never had to cope with them before. I guess maturity is what’s needed and I don’t get the feeling at present from what you’ve written,even if you were offered a place in med school in two years time that you would be mature enoughMedicine is a fantastic career if you are suited to it and at 15 years old you have no way of knowing this .TV programmes re medical situations are NOTHING like being a doctor..Don’t rush this. Being a doctor isn’t just going to med school and learning a bunch of facts,. It’s learning a different way of looking at the world and people. Slow down and enjoy your time in your teens,Do an undergraduate degree that gives you premed courses and a wide variety of humanities. Once you go to medical school you will probably never have time again to enjoy such a wide field of education.Good luck
