Is It Possible To Connect A Xbox Or Ps3 To A Pc Fhd Monitor Via Hdmi Without Needing Any Cpu Only A

How do I connect a VGA monitor to an HDMI port?

As far as finding an adaptor from micro HDMI to VGA, good luck. Your best option is to get a micro HDMI to HDMI adaptor, and from there connect an HDMI to VGA wire. You can find micro HDMI to HDMI adaptors on Amazon, as well as HDMI to VGA wires.Hope this helps,Abreck AskerowQPS Cablewww.qpscable.com/en/

How do I know if my laptop has an HDMI Input or Output?

Well, it wouldn’t have an HDMI input, but if you see an HDMI jack — (mini, micro, or full-size),or a DVI jack,or any form of DP (Display Port) jack — (regular or mini) —then you have, in essence, an HDMI output. There are simple adapters and/or cables that will take any of the above to an HDMI input on a monitor or TV.

Do HDMI to RCA cables work?

Like every other question: it depends.HDMI is a purely digital signal, so there has to be an active signal converter to change from HDMI to the analog signalling for RCA. There’s a couple ways it won’t work.I’ll bet there are companies selling HDMI cables with RCA connectors soldered at one end. They’ll look nice and be cheap but won’t work at all. There are a number of companies selling HDMI to RCA converters that work great as long as the HDMI signal isn’t encrypted. However those are only useful for a small number of HDMI sources. There are HDMI to RCA converters that have the decryption built in. These will do what you want, but they probably have to embed the Macrovision copy protection into the analog signal (at least in the USA).There are also HDMI to RCA converters that decrypt the digital signal and put out a clean analog signal. These are probably mostly illegal in the US, Canada and Europe since they bypass any copy protection.

Can I use an HDMI splitter to extend, not duplicate, my laptop screen across two monitors?

I disagree with all other answers. It is not only possible but it is normal.A simple HDMI splitter can in fact extend desktop to two different monitors. In fact I have a splitter bought for like £2 which does the job.I have DVI to HDMI cable going from this to my 46″ Samsung C750 as a monitor and a 15m HDMI cable going along the wall over the sealing to my PRM-25 video projector. They are both connected to a single DVI port via splitter. They both have different resolutions and they can be run at different frequencies. For example I have watched a movie at 24fps on projector to match the frame rate for smoother playback.I have set up VLC to display full screen to 2nd monitor so whenever I double click a playing movie window, it goes full screen on projector. They show up both correctly on Windows and Mac.My videocard is Zotac NVidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2047 and it acts exactly the same as my old Palit NVidia GeForce GTX 460 768.No problem whatsoever. Plug and play. As if it was physically connected to another port on actual video card.It all depends on bandwidth. You can hook up as many monitors as you like as long as the combined bandwidth does not exceed the total available. There is a way how to reduce the bandwidth of each screen noticeably by turning off overscan which is black margin around the image sent to monitor as extra unnecessary data. You might have to create a custom resolution for that though.
