Is It Possible To Get A Chinese Visa In Hong Kong Or Macau To Visit For A Few Days

Is it possible to renew a visa to stay in China in Hong Kong? I am an American citizen.?

Yes you can all you have to do is go to the air port and apply it takes about 24 hours and can be renewed while you are in the mainland. The cost wet up during the Olympics but I think it has gone back down. You can also get your visa in the US. There are many companies that you send your passport to and they get the visa for you I think this is better. If there is a problem better to find out in the US rather than be stuck in hong kong trying to sort out the problem.

No. You cannot enter Hong Kong on a P.R.China visa. Going into Hong Kong (and also Macau) count as another country as far as immigration controls are concerned. They have separate visa requirements.Depending on your nationality, you may be able to enter Hong Kong without a visa, or get a visa on arrival, or apply for a visa at the Public Security Bureau (PSB) office in China. Without knowing your nationality it is impossible to say what you would require or how long you could stay. For full details of Hong Kong visa requirements look at the website: The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative RegionAn additional complication is that entering Hong Kong counts as leaving China. You require a second entry visa, multi-entry visa or similar to get back into China again. As for your Chinese friends, they will require a Hong Kong permit to go there. They can get this from their local PSB office. It usually takes a couple of weeks to obtain.

Need Visa? Chinese Citizen going to Hong Kong then Macau?

The Individual Visit Scheme was first introduced in four Guangdong cities (Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Foshan) on 28 July 2003 as a liberalisation measure under the Closer Economic Partnership Agreement. The Scheme allows residents of these cities to visit Hong Kong in their individual capacity.

The coverage of the Scheme has expanded since implementation. The Scheme is now implemented in 49 Mainland cities, including -

Do I need a Chinese visa outside of Hong Kong?

you don't need a visa for macau but if you cross the border into the mainland. which Guangzhou is, then you need one. It's always a good idea to get one ahead of time, however it's really quick and easy to get one in hk (hong kong) too. you can get a cheaper one on Nathan Road in Kowloon at the china travel service office right across from the famous chungking mansions but you have to wait a day. If you drop by the hunghom train station you can get one for about twice the price in just a few hours. you can take the highspeed train right from that station up to Guangzhou in just an hour and a half. Guangzhou (GZ)may have some of the best shopping in the world. bar none. once in guangzhou you can renew visas for REAL cheap near Haizhu bridge. there's a big gov office there. the american consulate is right next to the GZ train station and the IKEA

Theoretically, it is not stated the exact amount required for tourist visa to visit Hong Kong, so $3000 in the bank account should not be a problem. In fact, I know other people could get visas with lower amounts. The more important thing is, you have a stable job that shows clearly your income and spending in your bank statements (for 3 consecutive months). Tourist visa to HK is not that hard actually. One more tip for Vietnamese travellers: to easily get visas to visit other countries, try to visit countries without requirement about visas first, e.g: Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc. Showing that you have pure intention and desire to travel. After that you can get visas to other countries more easily. Please follow my Youtube channel Na Núc Ních to have more information regarding travelling and visas ^^Cheers!

Hong Kong is amazing year round, however, there are some best periods to visit it based on weather conditions and seasonal experiences (check the graph below). For example, in the summer months you can enjoy a nice climb over the famous Dragon’s Back, dig some clams around Lantau island, or enjoy scuba diving. Winter also has plenty of great experiences: from amazing birdwatching to the Chinese New Year’s celebrations. You can find the best time to visit Hong Kong based on seasonal experiences on rove.me.In terms of weather, there isn’t too much difference throughout the year. However, November-December would be the best months with lower humidity levels and temperatures around 20℃ and less precipitation. Check rove.me weather rank for Hong Kong over here.

We need to apply for one thing called "Exit-entry Permit for Traveling to and from Hong Kong and Macau", which in Chinese Pinyin should be "Gang Ao Tong Xing Zheng",  but it's different from the passport we use to travel to foreign countries. The left red one is the passport we use to travel to foreign countries, and the right blue one is the "Exit-entry Permit for Traveling to and from Hong Kong and Macau".Hope this will help. :)

If you are already in Hong Kong with a valid visa (either obtained in advance, or obtained on arrival), you can apply for a Macau Visa at the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Commissioner’s Office in Hong Kong.Citizens of most countries and territories in the world are usually eligible for on-arrival visit/tourism visa for Macau. In case you are not from one of these countries or territories, you can apply for the visa at any Mission Office of the Chinese Foreign Ministry. The Mission Office in Hong Kong is NOT an embassy because Hong Kong is part of China. It is instead called the ‘Office of the Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry of the PRC’. However, it offers all services usually available at Chinese embassies and consulates overseas. This is the address of the office: Contact UsI suggest you call them during office hours to check whether they can actually help. Please note that even though you are applying at the Chinese Mission, you can’t use the PRC visa form. You need to use an application form specifically applicable for Macau visas because Macau is a different immigration territory from the Mainland of China. You can obtain the application form as well as the list of necessary supporting documents here: http://www.fsm.gov.mo/psp/eng/Af...While the checklist doesn’t mention it, do attach your HK visa to show that you are allowed to return to HK after visiting Macau, in addition to an onward air ticket from HK which you will use after returning from Macau.Best of luck!
