How to get a job at 16 with no experience?
I've been 16 for a while and I want a job so bad! I've applied to a lot of places & I fill the application inside the place and hand it in to the hiring manager and I call back a week later but they always say they're not hiring at the moment! I wanna work! Why can't I find a job? What should I do to stand out and get a job? It pisses me off that I can't find a job and I've been looking for months now & one of my friends, on her 16th birthday went to KFC and applied and got called back the next day! She didn't have experience or a food handle card! I don't have experience but I have a food handle card and they didn't call me back! Wtf! What am I doing wrong? When I apply I go around 11 when business is calm and I dress nicely and act respectfully!! help!!!! how do i get a job!!!

Well no job needs an experience when you just start it. There are so many things can be done even at the age of 36. One may learn a skill like writing, programming, teaching. One may teach some skill that she or he is good at. If possible one may invest some and take up career as travel blogger or try hand at acting or even invest in share market. The most important thing is when this question is asked I think the person is trying to compare himself/herself with the other people of his age. However the fact is if you have courage, confidence and capacity to fight back then starting any job is possible at any age. there are people who start ventures in their late 50’s and get successful at it.Age is just a number my friend :).

In all honesty, fast food may be the way to go. I got my first job when i was 16 at McDonald's. I also quit working there 6 months later. I also got my second job when i was 16 at a grocery store. It was much better. So if you don't want to try fast food, then try applying at your local grocery stores or drug stores (pharmacies like Rite Aid or something). You could also apply at different gyms in the aquatics department to be a lifeguard in the pool (there are teenage lifeguards at the gym i currently work) or you try working at before/after school programs (basically, you watch school aged kids and play games with them. you are NOT a care giver so you don't need a degree or any real experience. all you need is patience with children). It can be hard to look for a job with no experience, but there is 1 kind of job that will most likely hire you - fast food. Doesn't sound too exciting, but that was my first job with no experience. It opened up opportunities for me because I then had experience. Just apply at any fast food restaurants you think you will like, and one of them should give you a call If they're hiring. I'm in no way saying that you are guaranteed to get hired, but it's your best shot at the age and experience that you're at. Good luck!
