Is It Possible To Get In Shape By August 12

Is it possible to get in shape in 3 months?

yes it’s possibleGo to a gym and start lifting weights, work out 5 days a week . Try to work a specific muscle group in a particular day( i.e chest monday, arms tuesday, rest wednesday, legs thursday shoulder friday, back saturday and rest sunday). there are several charts available for exercise.Go heavy . Push your limits and work out till fatigue sets in( not more than 1 hour a day ). for the first two weeks you will be sore beyond your dreams after working out, then it will go away. Try to lift more than what you lifted last week. Use heavier weight and low repetitions . you will get stronger each week.Eat more proteins and limit carbs( eat whole wheat, rice, potatoes but do not eat pizza, refined flour, bread and all fast foods ). You should eat 3 eggs and vegetables (boiled/ soup) for breakfast. for lunch eat meat(150 grams at least ), vegetables , limited amount of rice(1 cup) or roti/whole wheat bread. at afternoon eat fruits. at evening drink milk(skimmed) . for dinner eat fish or meat(same amount ) and vegetables. complete dinner at least 2 hours before sleep and try to get at least 7–8 hours of sleep( Its very important, “you grow, when you rest”).Do not try to run . you are over weight and your knees and leg muscles are not ready for that kind of hard work. Go strong first before even thinking about running.Follow this routine and you will see a lot of change in you. You will get stronger and will be more energetic .Have Fun

Is it possible to see 5 shooting stars in a row?

I saw this the other night, they all appeared from the same place one after the another. They would travel a couple of feet, glow real bright then die down. Is it possible? In addition, they didn't really look like shooting stars (I haven't ever seen one) but they didn't look like the ones in the pictures.

What happened on August 12, 1969 in Vietnam?

There was a mortar attack followed by a ground attack on our base camp in Quanloi, Vietnam. I was a door gunner with the 195th Assault Helicopter Company supporting 5th Special Forces, (CCS-SOG) missions into Cambodia. NVA sappers broke through our perimeter and there was much carnage. Elements of both 1st Cav and 11th Armor were there to help fend off the attackers. I was sure they attacked to get at our ships and disrupt our missions.

Is it possible to reach 16 minute 5k only in 1 month?

From my own personal experience I would have to say it's very unlikely. To give you some background I ran track and cross country in college and I got my personal best down to about 14 minutes in the 5km. To go from 24 minutes to 16 you will have to drop your pace per km by nearly 2 minutes (4:48 km pace to 3:12 km pace). This is a huge difference and will require a year at the very minimum of hard speed training and solid weekly mileage. However, I do think you can do it eventually if you set your mind to it. I took my 40 minute 10km personal best down to 33 minutes in just over a year. One of my favorite things about the sport is that anybody can get fairly good at distance running if they set their mind to it.I think the main thing your program is missing right now is speedwork. Try adding a session of 800m repeats on the track at slightly faster than your 5km pace. Another important run I think you need is a tempo run. Essentially, you run as fast as you can maintain steady pace for around 20 minutes. Another weekly run in your program should be your long run. For you I think 70 minutes to start should be good. You can work up to a 90 minute run after a few months. This run should be at a smooth, easy pace that you can run for the whole distance without varying the pace much.Other workouts you could do:5 times 1km repeats, with equal rest between repeats. This can be done on either the track or road at your goal race pace.12x400m at 3km race pace.Fartleks: fast and slow. Run 6x3 minutes at what feels like 5km pace, then jog for two minutes between each. For all these make sure you do a solid warmup and cool down (at least 10 minutes jogging).I wish you the best of luck, if you have any questions feel free to message me.

How to get in top-notch shape in a month?

I am joining the Navy on August 8th and that day I am also trying out for AIRR (air rescue swimmer program). I need to test into the program and once I pass the requirements, I get my contract. This is my absolute dream... the only problem is, my run time sucks, I can hardly do push ups and I really need to know how to increase pushups and shave minutes off my miles and quickly. I have a lot of muscle memory because I was in shape last year and just.. got out of it. So, here are the requirements I have to meet:
Swim 500 yards in under 12 minutes.
do 42 push ups in under 2 minutes.
do 50 sit ups (not my problem, I have a strong core)
do 4 pull ups
and a mile and a half run in under 12 minutes.

So, do you guys have any ideas or workout plans that worked for you? Because I only have a month until I'd like to meet these requirements. Thanks so much!! :)

Has anyone lost weight solely from running/jogging?

I have been running 3-4 miles EVERY DAY, or at least 6 times a week so it feels like every day, lol, and Ive been doing this since the first week in august, and I feel exactly the same :(
I mean, im not gonna lie, I can run a lot farther now and I dont need to stop, but what I was aiming for was to tone up and nothing is happening. Do I need to be lifting weights? Is just running not enough?

I am 17 and I know that Im average sized, but I dont have a flat stomach and it really bothers me and makes me feel very self concious. im comfortable with the rest of my body, its justmy stomach area i want to tone up. I'm about 5'4 and like 140. so yeah, im no barbie lol but i think im like average? i hope ? : / lol

Has anyone else lost weight from running? How long did it take before you saw a difference?

How am I supposed to work, go to school, do homework, study, stay in shape, be social, help out at home, and get 8+ hours of sleep at night?

You really can’t, I’m not going to lie. Or at least not every day. My schedule is busy compared to a typical high school schedule, so I’ll just share it with you to show how it could work, but not every day. Here’s Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday:9 hours of getting ready for school, being in school, and getting ready for practice.3.5 hours of color guard practice, putting equipment away, and going home1 hour of showering, eating dinner, and small chores like washing my water bottles and anything I used to pack my lunch and putting dishes away.7.5 hours of sleep (following sleep cycles instead of just using 8 hours)That’s 21 hours of activity that’s basically required. That leaves 3 hours to do homework, relax, and just lay in bed (in the morning or while trying to go to sleep. On Fridays, it’s similar, but practice is 2 hours longer and includes dinner (it will be 3 hours longer once we’re going to football games). No time for anything there either.Saturdays we have 12 hour practices, so after sleeping, that’s 4 hours to eat breakfast, do homework, and do any chores.Wednesdays and Sundays are our free days. I personally don’t work, but there are a few who do. So these are the only days to meet up with friends and go to work.Obviously it’s not possible to do everything every day. But I don’t think anybody’s asking for that. Just think about what’s required for you and then leave an open space for anything like homework and friends.

When was Nazi Germany the closest to victory?

August 12, 1940.This was a key date that determined the outcome of the Battle of Britain. August 12th is actually more significant than the more famous dates of August 15th, the “Greatest Day”, August 18th, the date of highest combined casualties, or August 30th when Fighter Command suffered its worst losses yet still kept going strong. This is the critical date because it marked the first and last time that the Luftwaffe would systematically target the infrastructure supporting the Dowding air defense system. On August 12th, the Luftwaffe staged successful attacks on three British radar stations putting them out of service for 6 hours. Fortunately the Luftwaffe learned the wrong lesson by deeming the attacks futile. It is this critical strategic mistake that kept the strained Dowding System operational through the Battle of Britain. The battle was a close run thing at several points. Men and machines were pushed beyond their limits. But the Dowding system of radar, spotters, information gathering, and dispatch repeatedly kept enough planes in the right places and at the right times to balance the Luftwaffe’s numerical superiority.Had the Luftwaffe succeeded, the orders for invasion had already been made by Hitler. It is certainly possible that Britain could have held off the invasion because of its naval superiority, but it was unlikely the outnumbered army, still reeling from the defeat on the continent, could have stopped an invasion had the Royal Navy failed to do so.The fall of Britain would have changed the entire subsequent dynamic of the war. Or what would be left of it.With the fall, Germany would not have faced war on two fronts nor would there have been an effective staging area for the invasion of Europe. Germany was very close to defeating the Soviet Union and had they not felt the need to dedicate resources to fighting in the Western Front and the Mediterranean, it is likely they would have succeeded.Had the Luftwaffe continued to follow up on its attacks against the radar and communication infrastructure of Britain after their “failed” attacks on August 12th, 1940, we could be looking at a far different world map today. How Radar Gave Britain The Edge In The Battle Of Britain
