Is It Possible To Get My Money Back

How can I get my money back through Moneygram?

Just walk into a moneygram counter, give the clerk the 8 digit MTCN# and pick it up.

All anyone needs to send money is:
1) A first and last name to use on the form as the sender's name
2) A first and last name to use on the form as the receiver's name
3) Money

All anyone needs to pick up the cash is:
1) The first and last name used on the form as the sender's name.
2) The first and last name used on the form as the receiver's name
3) The eight or ten digit money transfer control number (MTCN#)
4) The test question and answer

And, all too frequently, only one or 2 of above listed requirements are actually needed to pick up the cash and disappear.

That is it, no ID required.

If you are:

1) sending money as part of a work-at-home job
2) buying from a website
3) buying a pet or car/truck/trailer/motorhome/caravan
4) helping an online boy/girlfriend
5) paying taxes/fees on a lottery/draw/government grant
6) paying visa/bank/airline/travel fees
7) paying deposit/rent for an apartment/house
8) paying banker/barrister/lawyer/court fees
9) paying a transportation/courier/shipping company
10) receiving/forwarding money onto someone or some company

Then you are being scammed.

Just keep in mind that Western Union and moneygram are unsafe and unsecure ways to send money.

Western Union and moneygram do not verify anything on the form the sender fills out, not the name, not the street address, not the country, not even the gender of the receiver, it all means absolutely nothing. The clerk will not bother to check ID and will simply hand off the cash to whomever walks in the door with the MTCN# and question/answer. Neither company will tell the sender who picked up the cash, at what store location or even in what country the money walked out the door. Neither company has any kind of refund policy, money sent is money gone forever.

If you google "Western Union scam", "fraud moneygram scammer" or something similar you will find hundreds of posts from victims and near-victims who lost money via Western Union and moneygram.

Is it correct to say, "Give me my money back" and "You have to give me the £20 back"?

As others have said, it is perfectly correct English, but very aggressive. Here are some slightly less aggressive ones:If you don’t give me back my money, I will take further actionPlease return my £20 immediately or I will take it further. Here are some even softer ones:Could I please have a refund? Please return my £20 as soon as possibleI look forward to receiving my £20 refund by returnOr, if you really want to be aggressive, try these:Oi, you, give me the moneyMy money back, or elseI want my £20 back right nowI’m not going until I get my money backWith these latter ones, it would be best to put on a stony face and get really up close and personal, channelling your inner gangster. If this wasn’t your intention, use some of the earlier ones to avoid getting in a fight…

Do 18-year-olds get all of their tax money back?

I make roughly $10,560.00 a year ($11/hr, 30 hrs/wk, about 32 wks/yr) and about $100.00 (usually more) is removed from each of my paychecks for taxes biweekly. I'm pretty sure that's about $1600.00 towards taxes.

I pay rent for college housing, but I don't pay tuition (full scholarship),and I just started this job in January, so I've never had to file my taxes. So I'm really not sure how ANYTHING works. All I know is that I'm exempt from taxes for my second job (yay!), but am I going to get all $1600.00 of this money back? Or at least a majority?

The ironic part of it all is that I work at a tax firm....
Here are some random facts about me if it helps:

-turned 18 in July (AFTER starting at the firm)
-college sophomore-junior (my school is weird)
-divorced parents (live with my mom outside of school year)
-I have no children
-I have a second job as Class President (but its only $100/month and tax exempt)

Thanks for the help!

Is it possible to get a refund back from your Aflac cancer policy?

Aflac has more than one cancer plan option and they have changed many times over the years. BUT, that being said - many years ago there was (I believe a silver plan) with this built in and currently on some plans you have the option to purchase a return of premium rider. I have been with Aflac for over 6 years - big believer in the cancer plan but never had anyone purchase this rider. It does add (relative to the cost to begin with) quite a bit to the monthly premium. It is not a bad investment but most people purchase this plan as peace of mind protection.
The older plan and the rop rider is not based upon your age - but 20 years of policy active status. I have known one client to have the older plan and he is almost at his 20 year point. He had actually wanted to upgrade to a current plan but because he would loose this option, advised him not to upgrade at this point. Now, if you have this option it will be clearly showing on your policy - if you do, the best news is that you can refund premium less any claims, plus still maintain your plan as we all know your cancer risk does not stop at 62 or 20 years after you purchased your plan.
