Is It Possible To Go Over Your Potential

Is it possible to be afraid of your own potential?

I don’t think anyone should be afraid of their potential. I believe that people have both good and bad potentials. From day one and still now all I hear from people is either one of two things, that I have the “potential to get good grades and go to college and have a good life” but then they say I have the potential of “being an alcoholic and drug addict like most of my family. It is hard with people saying both of those things to me constantly and I get so worried that the second I do something wrong I will ruin all the potential of doing anything good. The comments of my potential of leading a life of drugs and alcohol overroad my mind pushing my good potentials in life right out of my conscious. It’s lie it was never there in the first place. I was stuck in the mindset that I would never get to be what I want to be and have accomplished that potential everyone said I had. And even at times, when I believed the positive potential comments over the negative, I didn’t always believe that I had the power in myself to accomplish those. I didn’t ever think I had the knowledge to get that far. I didn’t think I could make it through sophomore year because I gave up after I hit my first roadblock(which I finished in like a day when I actually gt help) which set my whole year back and I couldn’t blame anyone but myself. BUt all I remember is hearing people say “you have so much potential for big things in life and if you continue this all you are going to to is ruin that.”So yes, it is possible to be afraid of your own potential. But it is only within ourselves where we can find the positive potentials we have for our life and future that we can pursue and accomplish great things. Just because you have people telling you have potential for the negative does not mean you have to be that way.izzy xo

Received message "Potentially Negative- Card Over Limit" on IDnotify. Will it affect my overall score negatively?

I received an email by IDnotify (Experian) to view my credit monitoring something had changed. After seeing the notification "Potential Negative-Card Over Limit" I search the card and the limit was not over the limit. However, once the cycle closed with the interested added to the card the limit went over by 88$. I was concerned if this will impact my credit score negatively or bring my score down? I have good credit don't want it to get hurt, can someone give me information in regards to this notification I received and will I be penalized even if my balance was not over the limit until the cycle closed and with the interest charge it went over by 88$? Can someone give me more information please?

How do you calculate elastic potential energy?

George is going to bungee jump from a bridge that is 55.0 m over the river below. The bungee cord has an unstretched length of 27.0 m. To be safe, the bungee cord should stop George’s fall when he is at least 2.00 m above the river. If George has a mass of 75.0 kg, what is the minimum spring constant of the bungee cord?

Do you think products like antibacterial soaps and hand sanitizers help or hurt when it comes to preventing tr?

haha sounds like you're answering this for a microbiology class of sorts ;)

Antibacterial soaps and hand sanitizers are generally unnecessary and can be even harmful. Normal soaps are emulsifiers - this means that they lift the bacteria off your hands and you can wash them down the drain. Antibacterial soaps contain antibiotics to KILL the bacteria, which isn't needed - you just want them off your hands. Plus, in order for these kinds of soaps to work, it takes a few minutes of lathering them all over your hands, which can dry out hands and lead to cracks in the skin that make it even more possible to get infectious diseases. Finally, the more bacteria come in contact with antibacterial soaps, the more that they will develop a resistance against them.

The problem with hand sanitizers are very similar. They can cause dry and cracked hands. Also, since they're alcohol-based, they dry very quickly, usually before they have the chance to become effective and kill bacteria. Finally, after they dry, they still leave a film of residue (that you can't see), so if you put your fingers in your mouth, you're essentially ingesting the hand sanitizer. If your hands are super dirty, it's better than nothing, but washing hands with normal soap is usually the best option. One exception would be if you're a surgeon - their work is very invasive, so antibacterial soap would be advised in that situation.

Having an overly clean environment can lead to problems because our bodies won't be used to these germs, and if some kind of disease comes our way, our bodies won't know how to fight them. Also, some kinds of bacteria are VERY useful, and even crucial to our health. They are good bacteria, and getting rid of them can even cause us to become sick.
