Is It Possible To Go To Prision For 238 Years

Is Michael Cohen in Prison?

Cohen, 52, has a March 6 surrender date. What one inmate thinks of Michael Cohen’s possible arrival at Otisville — ‘this is probably the best place for him’

If you get sentenced 7 years in prison, how long will you do?

This is dependent upon jurisdiction. This is by no means a comprehensive explanation. In the Federal system, you are required to serve 85% of your sentence. So, for a 7 year sentence, you will serve just under 6 years. This does not include calculations for getting our earlier on Halfway House or Home Confinement programs. Most state jurisdictions offer parole, which requires an inmate to serve at least 50% of their sentence before they are eligible for early release, but they must be approved by the parole board. This means, a person will have to serve a minimum of 3 years and 6 months before they can go in front of the parole board to determine eligibility. Also does not include Halfway House or Home Confinement programs.Notably, there are many factors that go into determining the amount of time one will actually spend in prison. What I have covered here does not include any of those additional factors such as appellations, haebeus corpus relief, commutations, etc. But, for those who have no real special circumstances, what I have laid out will pretty much be what someone serves.

What happens when a person in jail gets sick?

All county jails must have some type of infirmary or at least a nurse on duty.If one gets sick they tell the guard or fill out a form and get to see whoever is on duty.Jails are notorious for providing very poor medical care and there is very rarely a doctor on duty. The nurse will provide all of the care which her license lets her and usually calls the doctor on duty.Normally all medical care is farmed out to medical services outside the jail an there may be one doctor on call for several jails. If it is an extreme emergency then the jail calls 9-1-1 and paramedics arrive and guards accompany them to the hospital. All of your hypothetical questions can be answered by the fact the jails provide poor medical service. As far as someone becoming terminally ill, jails are not equipped to handle this while prisons are. Remember, a jail is to hold someone while waiting to post bail, awaiting trial or serving a sentence of 1 year or less. A prison is for people who have been convicted of a crime and are serving a longer sentence.I have interviewed several inmates in jail and have found the care level is nominal. I can't speak for prisons however I would imagine they are pretty much the same. There have been numerous cases of prisoners dying or not being attended to properly in jails and prisons over the years numbering in the thousands.

Why was Muhammad Ali in prison?

Ali went to jail because he refused to join the Army and fight in Vietnam. He claimed he a moral religious objection to war and he was arrested, he did not spent much time in jail hpaid a bond and was released pending the outcome of the trial, it took three a tome he was not permitted to fight in any state or go over seas to fight. When his case was finally decided all the justices on the court agreed with Ali and he was finally given permission to fight

Could Donald Trump go to jail?

It’s possible but doubtful, and much more likely to be for his financial crimes than for conspiracy with Russia or any politically related charges. He is the capo, the crime boss. He can’t cut a plea deal. He is probably facing equivalent charges to Manafort of tax evasion, bank fraud and money-laundering.If he survives to the end of this term or the next without getting impeached, he may never see the inside of a courtroom. If he gets impeached or loses the 2020 election he will doubtless face many charges. His Tweets tell everything you need to know. He is convinced he cannot be fingered for collusion. He thinks that because it was Manafort, Cohen, Flynn, Gates, Stone, Papadopoulos, Kushner and others who actually met Russians and made any quid pro quo deals, that his hands are clean. But he also knows he is guilty of multiple financial crimes that to him, are just part of business. They aren't, but that’s how he thinks. By now he has realised that regardless of whether he escapes impeachment and conviction for his campaign’s dealings with the Kremlin, he will not get away from dozens of charges of financial impropriety which add up to 100 years in jail.“Witch Hunt!” That means No Fair! You’re supposed to be investigating Russia and you’re digging up all this other stuff! Wah!“Disgraceful and discredited Mueller and his angry Dems!” That means his personal financial transgressions are part of the business game he his playing, not the politics game he is playing. No Fair! Wah!Chances are he will either walk on the understanding that he won’t do jail time, or that he will get 86′d at the 2020 elections and then spend a very long time in court. If he lives long enough, he might even make it to jail, but I doubt it.He is so used to cutting corners and pulling strokes, legally, so completely used to the laws of the land not applying to him. So privileged, that it didn’t even occur to him while running for President that this would happen. He always settled out of court before. Over 400 times he did that. Over four hundred times he was sued for not paying his bills, for fraud, for criminal behaviour. He just threw money at the problem and it went away, 400 times. Not this time. He has walked into the lions’ den wearing a suit made of bacon.

What year did Muhammad Ali go to jail?

Ali was never sent to prison for his conviction, but was out on bond while it was under appeal. He lost nearly four years of his prime as a result of the conviction that was finally overturned by the Supreme Court in 1971.Ali is generally considered the greatest heavyweight of all time. If he had not lost so much of his prime years as an athlete, there probably would be no dispute over that recognition.
