Is It Possible To Install An Ssd In My Laptop

How to install an Ssd to my laptop?

My laptop is an Acer Aspire v3-571G 6622 its current hard drive is 500 GB 5400 rpm. I want to upgrade this to a solid state drive but I don't know much about computers. I want to upgrade it to play the new games coming out for the next gen consoles.
Do you guys have a recommendation of what ssd hard drive I could get to play these games that is on the cheap side? I need one that fits into the computer and an explanation of how to put it into the computer would be great!
thanks!

Is installing an SSD in a laptop good?

I use Samsung Pro Series SSDs in my notebook PCs. Very fast, rugged and reliable.I no longer use hard disk drives because they are slow and have moving parts that wear out, break and crash. In a notebook PC that you travel with, an SSD is a better choice because it is more rugged, and not susceptible to crashing from bumps and drops.Hard disk drives are available in 3 speeds: 5400, 7200 and 10,000 RPM.The main disadvantage of an SSD is higher cost per GB, compared to a hard disk. But, it is not likely that you need to store all your files on a high speed 1TB SSD. Just install the OS and your most frequently used files on the SSD. Store less frequently used files on an external hard drive. When doing product research, read online tech reviews from knowledgeable sources.Once you decide which SSD you want, shop for a sale price. As SSD technology improves, prices continue to decline.

Can I install an SSD drive to my HP Pavilion dv7t laptop?

When I built this laptop I didn't play many games but now I play a few i.e...Sims 3, Guild Wars, Lord of the Rings Online (MMORPG). I realize this isn't a gaming rig but want to do what I can to make it run my games better/faster until I can build a desktop gaming rig.

1. Can I install an SSD drive to my HP Pavilion dv7t laptop? (Please don't tell me to check hp.com, I've checked and couldn't find anything to help me.)

2. If I can install an SSD drive, what size would be recommandable for the games I play? (i.e...20g, 60g)

3. Will it stop my laptop from getting so hot when running my games? I know it's running hot because I'm running the games. If I am able to install an SSD drive, will it keep it from getting so hot?

I'm not very computer savvy so I copied all the specs of my laptop because I wasn't sure what you might need to know:

I'm getting a brand-new laptop, can I install a SSD in it before I ever turn it on?

I wouldn’t. A better plan would be to first put the SSD in an external USB drive adapter and clone the OS to it. Then swap out the original drive, which remains a backup in case the cloning did not work right. This should also circumvent any potential problems which might be associated with the Windows license. Later, you can use the original drive on the USB adapter to do backups.

Is it possible to install SSD along with hdd in Dell Inspiron 5547 laptop?

NOYou see a SSD, along side your HDD, means that you make your HDD as your secondary storage drive, and install it onto the laptop using a HDD Caddy. And you keep the SSD, as your primary drive. However, this is possible only if, you have some space in your laptop, i.e. probably a Optical Disk Drive, which you remove, and install the HDD in it’s place.Still, you can install your SSD, in place of your current HDD. Remove your HDD, copy all it’s content to the new SSD, and place it there.

Is it possible to install a windows over Lan or Wifi network ?

How can I know if my laptop is SSD compatible?

Let me give you a complete understanding of this. You will mostly see two types of SSD on the market, one with SATA interface, the one which mostly looks alike a standard 2.5′ drive just a bit slimmer & light weight. This connects to any of your hard drive slots which has a standard SATA connection, which is the case with most of the laptops these days, provided you don’t have a decade old laptop which might have a 3.5′ drive in that case, it won’t be compatible.**you can see that the connector is same as that of a normal hard-disk.So just take out your hard drive and plug in the SSD and it will work with any modern laptop today. You don’t need to check anything.Another type of SSD’s are M.2 interface(slot looks identical to a wifi card slot) which are even smaller and faster, has a dedicated and separate slot for it on the motherboard, if it is present in your laptop, then my best guess is that you would know about it, as it is something your manufacture will definitely make sure that you know about it. These are very costly though, even more costly than a normal SSD.**M.2 /NVMe driveJust so you know, you will feel the difference in the speed right away, it feels like you brought someone back to life and it started running like Usain Bolt.Hope this helps.
