Is It Possible To Turn A Scoop Neck Shirt Into A Crew Neck Shirt

What would look good with a black scoop neck t-shirt?

Well, its summer so you should pair black with something bright like tangerine, salmon pink, or turquoise. Here's one way to wear it with a skirt (if your feeling flirty) and with pants. You can also go to thrift shops, find a bright pair of pants for like $3 and cut or fold them into capris..

Whats an easy way to cut a crew neck shirt into a v neck without it looking terrible?

That'd be hard because of the make of it....
Does it have the trim around the neck, like most Tee's have? (The kinda stretchy, ridged, cotton meterial?)
If it has that, that'd make it even more hard, i'd think.
You could always turn it inside out, and use a fabric marker (the kind that washes off) and draw the V. You could try multipul times, to draw the V perfectly, since the marker comes off in the wash.
If the tee has the trim around the neck, after you cut the V out, see if it looks right with the trim. If not, you can cut the trim off too, but most likely its gonna look like you cut it...
I hope your able to make it look right.
Maybe you could get another teeshirt, and cut the neckhole of the tee you have, really big, and wear a V-neck tee under it... idk how that'd look... lol.

P.s. if you dont think you'll be able to cut it right, you probably shouldn't try it, unless theres a way to get a new one...
You could probably accessorize it really cute =)
Is it just a plain tee?
Where will you be wearing it?
You could always call them, and ask if they can call you when they get the V'neck tee's in stock... if they do...

Can you turn a regular sweatshirt into a scoop neck?

I found a dark grey sweatshirt online that I really like but i don't wanna spend almost $30 (that includes shipping) on one item of clothing -- i know that's cheap but in this economy I wanna save as much as I can. I was wondering is it anyway possible that I can turn a regular sweatshirt into a scoop neck??

any help would be great!! -- oh and i know how to sew :)

thanks!

I am trying to sew a v neck for a shirt of a scrub any ideas how to sew a v neck?

Cut another piece of fabric the shape of the opening in your scrub, including the v and the round part behind your neck. Make this piece of fabric about 3 inches wide. On the outer edge of this fabric, fold a small amount of this under for a hem. Lay this piece against you scrub, right sides next to each other, and line up the v. Sew it to the scrub. Then turn it to the inside of the scrub and pin down. Top stitch around the whole thing about the width of your pressure foot on your sewing machine.

How do you turn a Band Tee into a V-Neck?

it depends.
edgy= cut the collar. then cut a v-ish shape( the length of the v depends on on the person) after that run ur scissors down what uv cut. or u can just wash it.( this frindges it.)

for a more cleaner look cut collar around the neck. cut the v shape (but make sure ur measure it evenly.) fold the sides of the v and stitch them. if you dont do this then it will frindge when u wash it.

Perhaps the shirts are bit tight as you pull them on over your head?  You might have better luck with a more open-neck style like a polo shirt.Today's t-shirts have are so whisper thin they are more like kleenex than fabric.  For t-shirts that keep their shape, you need stable fabrics made of high-twist yarns that are tightly knitted.  A little bit of lycra helps too.  5% is a nice amount, and 95% cotton for the rest. You need to look for a fabric that has some weight to it.  Especially the trim on the neck edge.  Look for thickly ribbed neck edges made of a separate fabric (specially made for the purpose), not just the same t-shirt fabric folded over and sewn down.  In this illustration, the person has cut off the sturdy ribbing, then folded over the new neckline and stitched it.  Looks pretty, right?  This new neckline is guaranteed to stretch out and lose it's shape.Learn to look for quality in the fabrics and construction methods, not in the designer's name.

Crew. Men's fashion has recently trended toward favoring crew necks over v necks—even if you aren't a trend chaser, v necks are a bit more difficult to fit exactly to your body in a way that will keep the collars in place (you want to avoid collar gap). I personally think it looks sloppy when shirt collars have gaps or go over the top of the sweater, so I favor crew necks, which have never given me that problem.

Hi,Depends on what shirt collar is there and what kind of suit you want to wear it with. Most of the collars would not fit right on the width of the back and lapel of the suit so it will turn out to look really disoriented. Also, remember if the shirt is not very specific for this purpose, you will have to keep atleast 2–3 buttons of the shirt open to accommodate the non tucked collar. As per the pictures below, if you have a shirt with a wide collar, it makes sense otherwise i will suggest you to refrain from it. For a casual look, shirt without a tie and collar inside can work perfect. If you just want a casual look you can also try contrast colours/ polos like in the first imageCheers,Varun
