Is It Possible To Update Android 4.0 Ics To 4.1 Jelly Bean In Galaxy S Dous

Can samsung galaxy mini s5570 run android 4.1 (jelly bean) or even 4.0 ( ice cream sandwich)?

YES...it can run both of them but don't expect it to be running as smooth as gingerbread
Samsung won't be pushing the official upgrades of ics and jb for this device...
so in order to run ics or jb-
1) you will have to root the device first
2) then apply the custom rom based on ics and jb(you can get them from xda-developers)
if you are not getting what i am saying..just google it and you will come to know :)
WARNING - plz dont do all this if you are not a pro at it...and you will be left with some 20-30 mb free internal memory out of the 180 mb.........and if u do some mistake you might end in the samsung service center for replacing the device's chipset AND it will also end the warranty if you root it
i tried both ics and jb but i would be saying if u are still onto doing this...go for ics one because it is much-much smoother
P:S even if are getting everything i am saying then also stick with gingerbread or some other gingerbread based roms....bcoz our devices are not made for ics and jb
and if you bought it now....you could get much-much better options preloaded with ics at almost same price like xperia tipo or galaxy music

When will the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III get Android’s Jelly Bean OS, or will it ever?

I'd first mention that compared to the X10 line from Sony Ericsson, updating the SG3 is a breeze. Several updates have been published over the past couple months, only requiring the user to accept or not that the phone is being restarted. The X10 required the user to connect the phone to the PC via a USB cable, install dedicated software, check for updates and then do a lengthy updating process which tended to wipe all settings and apps from the phone. The broken dreams of updating include some X10 but also Nokia's win7 phones and iPhones. It's a common situation and Sony will not issue jellybean-updates for many 2011 models. In fact, Android 4.0 Ice cream sandwich was installed on only 10% of all android devices by mid july 2012. The android OS is similar to the windows OS which tended to require a new PC every time a new version came out. It's just happening faster now. A maker of a PC with windows 95 could not have stopped you from trying to install windows XP, but the makers of cellphones can, in practice.  There is however a public statement from Samsung saying that jelly bean will be rolled out to the whole galaxy portfolio, probably during august and september [1]. The only question is then when the Verizon version will get the update. I don't see Verizon vetoing a software upgrade, but I would assume that customized software builds (to the degree the Verizon SG3 is that) will be released after SG3 proper.  So the update will come in september-october I'd guess.  [1] http://www.techradar.com/news/ph...

Is it possible to upgrade my Android version from Jelly Bean to KitKat in my Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro?

You can update. But you need to compromise a few things.   1) Fist you need to root you phone. (Just Google on how to root followed by your phone model)  2) Then you find any kit kat based custom ROM for your device and flash it.   3) that's it. You have now updated your phone to kit kat. The compromises are that now you have void your warranty and using a custom ROM which has high risk of bugs

There is no official ROM (Android jelly bean version) released by Samsung. So, you can't upgrade it officially. But yeah you can do it unofficially by manually downloading the rom and installing it on your phone. Will it be possible to upgrade the T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant (Galaxy S) to Android 2.2?

I have successfully upgraded these devices to run Android 4.1–4.3 with great results. Unlock the device, root ir, install a custom recovery, and then download and install any of the many custom roms out there for this device. You will be simply amazed at how well it works, and is still supported by the Google playstore for a few more years. It makes for an excellent backup/emergency device, standby device, travel phone, gift for someone, portable gps, or an everyday device for most people. Loaded with a few simple and free apps like Showbox, popcorntime, fongo, magicjack, camscanner, whatsapp, or other progrms it will be kept from andfill for a few more years and provide someone with a great service.
