Is It Safe To Have 4 Days Off The Pill Instead Of 7

Can I safely reduce placebo pills from 7 days to 4?

I am on a monophasic birth control pill (Yasmin), and was wondering if I could reduce my pill-free (placebo) days from 7 days, to 4 days? (Other pills like Zoely have a 24/4 cycle, as opposed to 21/7)... Is it safe to do so, in terms of pregnancy risk?

How does "missing" active pills differ from four pill-free days on a brand like Zoely?

Many thanks!

Is it ok if your period runs a week instead of 5 days?

Anywhere from 2 to 7 days is considered normal.
My period also shifts weeks. Not very suddenly, but every month it changes by a few days. As far as I know, it's normal.

If you're just starting your period it could take your body some time to get things regular (it can take a couple years). I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Can females get pregnant 7 days after their last period?

Let me tell you a simple calculation so that, you will not forget it next time… after your menstuation.. first 5 days and last 5 days are inactive days.. Remaining days are productive dates.Okay.. Let’s take your period started on 1 st and coutined till 5th. That is your menstruation period. From 6 to 10 it is inactive period. And again from 26 to 30th it is inactive period. The gap between the 10th and 26th.. That is 11 to 25th is active period where you will have more chances of getting pregnancy if you meet during that time.Hope that helps…Top 10 Best Ways - Your friendly guide for all Top 10s

I left my nuvaring out for 9 days instead of 7...am I still protected against pregnancy?

i am also on the nuvaring...and it says that if it is more then the standard 7 days put it in as soon as possible and WAIT or use another form of birthcontrol for 7 days. Keep in mind that sperm can stay alive in you for a couple of days. I do not think that u were FULLY protected, but i also think you don't have much to worry about because since u were on the standard 7 days that means you were on your period or had recently finished it (this decreases the chances of you becoming pregnant cause you were not ovulating) and yes the birthcontrol was lower in the effect to. this is coming frm a person who leaves the nuvaring out for more then three hours and was on antibiotics for two weeks and did not use another form of birthcontrol...and still got my period! since the nuvaring is more "direct" then other birthcontrols it tends to be more effective becuase it does not pass through our livers. remember use another form of protection for seven days. hope it helped

How many days after your period is it safe to have sex without getting pregnant?

It’s never safe to have sex without protection or birth control systems. This being said, you can get pregnant during the ovulation, so the 4 days (2 before and 2 after) that come right before and right after that time are the most dangerous. So, in theory, if your cycle was perfectly regular, it would be quite safe to have sex during the couple of days before your period. But this this is not an exact science and your period may vary from month to month, I strongly recommend you use a condom or take a pill or use some sort of contraception. Stay safe!

How long after taking the contraceptive pill (15 days after a period) is it safe to have unprotected sex?

Birth control pills are taken daily. There are usually 28 pills in a packet. 21 of them are medicated and 7 are placebos. You will have your period during the week you are taking the placebos.Emergency contraception, such as Plan B, does not provide future contraception. It only prevents you from getting pregnant from unprotected sex within 72 hours before taking the pill. Do not use emergency contraceptive pills for your regular birth control. Please see your doctor or a Planned Parenthood Clinic to obtain an appropriate birth control method for you. Use it properly and consistently.

Provera for 5, 7 & 10 days?

Hi Ladies,

What's up with all the different days when it comes to Provera? As a teenager my doctor gave me Provera for only 5 days. When I got diagnosed with PCOS and stoped using birth control my OB/GYN perscribed me Provera for 10 days, she referred me to a RE and my appointment was yesterday and she told me to take Provera for 7 days.

Does any one know why every doctor perscribe different length times? I don't understand what the difference is. What was your experience using Provera for different length of days?

P.S. My RE upped my dosage of Clomid to 100 mg this cycle. I am also gonna get an HSG done, hopefully this is my month!!!! Good luck to all ttc and those who are pregnant good luck to you too!!!!
