Is It Safe To Take Molly While On Ibuprofen

When can I take another pain pill after I took 800 mg ibuprofen? I took one two hours ago and it’s not helping my cramps.

Ibuprofen is basically a 6 hour medication, and moreover 800 mg is considered the maximum safe single dosage. So, you should not re-dose 800 mg of ibuprofen. The good news on that is that you probably aren’t actually missing out on any pain relief from the extra ibuprofen. As of the last time I reviewed the literature, it appears that those prescription doses of 600 or 800 milligrams are beneficial for acute inflammatory conditions like gout, rheumatoid arthritis etc., but for most musculoskeletal pain, dental pain, post-surgical pain etc. there was a ceiling effect, where the maximum amount of pain relief was obtained at 400 mg per dose, i.e. 2 regular strength / over-the-counter tablets. So dosing beyond that is basically just exposing yourself to increased risk of adverse effects, for little or no marginal benefit.tl;dr: 400 mg every 6 hours probably gets you as much pain relief as you’re going to get from ibuprofen.

Can I take ibuprofen 6 hours after i took ecstasy?

I would not be suggesting you take ibuprofen after taking ecstasy.

It's not a good idea to mix meds let alone an illegal drug and another over the counter medication.

If you have a head ache I suggest you stop using ecstasy.

But then again it's your choice.
I just find it slightly amusing that your asking if it's safe to take some ibuprofen although you use ecstasy most likely not thinking of the risks of this drug.

My friend is rolling and he has taken ibuprofen for some reason will he be ok ? thanks?

Of all the stupid things....

First things first, make sure he's not an any other drugs. This includes prescriptions and over the counters. If you edit back, I'll help you figure it out. What you're worried about with MDMA is serotonin syndrome. Keep an eye out fevers which I suppose ibuprofen can mask to an extent, overactive reflexes, diarrhea, shivering, and muscle spasms. If you notice your buddy having these, you should take him to a hospital because it can be potentially fatal.

With MDMA you don't know the dose you're getting because people have to cook it up, and they're not exactly chemists, so you might be getting random substances, or you might be getting PMA a highly toxic substance that can cause fatalities via the serotonin syndrome.

Drugs to watch out for while on MDMA: any kind of antidepressant or psychoactive drug commonly, some other scattered ones like Zyvox. Certain OTC's like Robitussin/Delsym possibly benedryl as well. Any kind of nutritional suppliment containing Tryptophan, 5HT.

Something to be mindful of: hydration can be an issue on MDMA, make sure your friend is hydrated plenty, get him a gatorade or something and water it down 50/50 with water to cover hydration and electrolyte loss (low sodium is common with MDMA).

Stay safe, there are much safer/better ways to get high.

What happens if i take ibuprofen before or after taking Ecstasy, lets say 6 hours before.?

There's nothing particularly dangerous about the combination that would make it any more dangerous than taking ecstasy alone. The only thing is that ibuprofen can be hard on the stomach, and ecstasy can in rare occasions cause stomach discomfort, and the ibuprofen may exacerbate that, but I doubt that would be a problem unless you take them together. If you have taken ibuprofen before and know it doesn't bother your stomach, you don't have anything to worry about.

Does ibuprofen help achieve an erection while rolling on MDMA?

I'm planning on rolling with my girlfriend and four others at a party this Friday. The last time we rolled I didn't get an erection at all and all we did was make out all over the place for 3 hours. Although she was on her period at the time so I knew sex was out the window, I still feel as though I should have gotten at least a 'chubby'. We will be having sex Friday and as a precautionary thing I'm going to be bringing some Ibuprofen. So, (refer to title)

What are the dangers of taking a muscle relaxer and Ibuprofen at the same time?

First, I will say that there are innumerable possibilities for interactions between medications, which is why your physician should have an accurate list of the drugs you are taking (both prescription and over-the-counter) - along with the dosage and schedule for each.As a second line of defense against potentially harmful drug interactions, it’s a good idea to fill all of your prescriptions at the same pharmacy. That way, if a newly prescribed medication interacts with one you are already taking, it will pop up on the pharmacy’s database. That being said, the way that ibuprofen and the class of drugs referred to as “muscle relaxers” work is completely different. There should be no additive effects, so except for a few rare combinations, it should be safe to take them together.Muscle relaxers generally work by decreasing the resting tone of skeletal (voluntary) muscle fibers, allowing adequate blood flow through the muscles which carries away lactic acid, eliminating pain.Ibuprofen blocks a class of enzymes involved in the production of prostaglandins , which mediate inflammatory reactions, relieving pain by an entirely different mechanism. If you are interested in “No Nonsense” answers to serious medical questions, please follow me.
