Is It Sprained Or Broken

Is my cat's paw broken or sprained?

When you got the cat, you also got the responsibility to take care of it. If you are not able to fulfill that responsibility, please surrender the cat to someone who can.I read your whole comment and I’m speaking from my years’ experience of dealing with abused and permanently hurt cats. Most of the cats I had adopted through the years have come from people like you who refused to help the animals until it was too late. One cat of mine lost an eye like this. Another one, that I nursed back to health and one of my friends adopted, lost both back legs because “Nah, she’s just faking it to get snacks”. I will never understand people like you, who will rather let the poor animal suffer. I will always despise people like you, who are unable to accept their responsibilities.Your cat has been in pain for the past few days and obviously it didn’t get better. If this isn’t enough for you, maybe you should try to sprain a leg yourself, eh?TL:DR Keeley is absolutely right and people like you should not have animals.

Sprained Wrist or Broken Wrist?

I sprained my left foot 3 weeks ago and I have just managed to fit a shoe on. It will take time, I have to wear a support sock.
I would get advice from your GP Doctor they will examine you and confirm it is a sprain you would benefit from a support bandage which you can buy from a pharmacy but they will advice you to get it checked by a doctor first.
Hope it helps
Good luck
Bath in warm salt water Elevation for your hand will help and also paracetamol and Volteran Gel.

How can you tell if your cat's paw is broken or sprained?

If your cat has a lasting limp, it could be either, just like with humans, unless you actually see a visible bend in the paw, or even exposed bone.  Fractures can be tricky to identify otherwise.  The cat is better able to hide discomfort, both because it has three other paws to favor, and a cats nature is to hide weakness.  The only way to know if a paw is fractured is by getting an X-ray at the vet.  Doctors don't know with humans either, and quickly use an X-ray for a diagnosis.

How can u tell you have a sprained or broken ankle?

That is difficult, I have had both. If it is broken, at least in my case the pain was so severe I could not even take one step on it. However a sprain being painful, you can put some pressure on it. Ususally the only way to tell for sure is to have an X-ray. But if you cannot get there right away: ice on 20 minutes, off 20 minutes and Advil or Motrin reduces the swelling. I hope you feel better soon!

How can I tell if my cats leg is sprained, or broken?

My cat came inside earlier and was limping. I thought it was just his back right leg, but it's also his front left one. He's limping and pulls away when I touch either of the legs, but doesn't cry. He only cries when I carry him (I don't want him walking around too much so I carry him to his food or litter box if he tries to go there). He doesn't have trouble laying on his front leg; he can curl it, and will rest his head on it, but walking seems to bother him. I checked his paw and there is nothing in it. We don't have the money to take him to the vet, so could this be a sprain or break? And if so what could I do to help it get better?

Is my finger sprained or broken?

I was playing soccer and the ball was kicked to my hand. It hit my pointing finger (the one directly next to the thumb). I heard a little crack, sort of like when you crack your knuckles. I iced it after, while it was swollen. About 24 hours later, the underside of my 1st joint is somewhat bloody (red or wine red), and my upper joint is bruised on the underside. I can move all of my joints voluntarily, but with limited motion. It hurts to do this obviously, but I can move every joint. Is it possible that its broken, even though i can move it? Or has no broken finger ever been moveable. I'd rather not go through the hassle of going to a doctor, but if there is a chance of it being broken, I don't want to take the chance.

HELP!!! I HURT MY WRIST!!! IS IT SPRAINED, BROKEN, OR FRACTURED??!?

i broke my arm when i was 9 when i fell of a wall... i had no bruises nor swelling and could barely move it i went about 2 hours trying to do stuff with a broken wrist... that hurt like hell! the doc told me to curl my hand into a tight fist and knock loudly on a wall and i couldnt. you should tell your mom despite the consequenses or you could make it worse... if not you could see the school nurse??
i doubt its dislocated... that really does hurt... but it could be fractured or badly sprained.
